Now, I'm sure most of you would not want to celebrate your anniversary celebrating at a"themed' resturaunt but I did.
In years past my Dh and I have celebrated at Burn's in Tampa, at Emeril's in CityWalk and last year at Palo's on my first DCL cruise. This year I wanted to spend the day in Downtown Disney and shop till I dropped or till DH dropped which usually comes first.
DS -9 was accompying us to celebrate and I thought it would be fun to go to a resturant we would all enjoy.
We arrived at Downtown Disney around 3pm and there was no wait, we wanted to eat around 5:30- 6 but T-rex is not accepting reseravtions until after the 1st of the year. So we hit a few shops and checked back in around 5:15pm. With very little wait we were seated in the Forest Area just outside the Ice Cave. The themeing I must say is fantastic, even Dh was impressed. DS loved it. The menu is a bit on the high$ side but the food was very good. Service was good for the most part, but at one point I was looking for our waiter so that I could get DS a refill, only real glich other wise our waiter was very attentive I just think he got a little busy at one point.
We started our meal with the Foothills Flatbread- very very yummy, DS and I split our main meal- Paleo Shrimp with pasta-we both enjoyed it and there was plenty to fill us both. DH had the Tri- colored tortelini with chicken and liked it as well. DS had the kid's desert with cookie and icecream ( can't remeber what it was called) and I had a Caveman Punch in the sovenier blinking cup total bill about $75 DS and I then hit the gift shop where we took home a dino from the " build a dino shop. By the time we left there was quite a long line to get in around 7- so I suggest you hit T-rex early or plan to wait. All in all a great experience and a cool way to celebrate.
