I'm interested in trying the new T-Rex in June, Is the food good or is it just worth a look see for the decor (DS12 and firends)?

We will be there on June 24th! It is similar to the Rainforest cafe if you have ever dined there before. I'm looking forward to this one!

We've been once and found it better than RFC. We really liked the atmosphere and the service was great. Our server was always ready with another refill or to answer a question. He brought out the chef to talk to dh about making a different dish for him (he's vegetarian) and they were very willing to do whatever he wanted. The food came out fresh and hot and very quickly! The big volcano dessert was delicious although way too much for us as we had eaten so much already! We would definately do T-Rex again. I think the only downside is that it was expensive! My family of 5 (4 actually ate) was over $80 with drinks, app, entrees, kid's meals and 1 large dessert.

Thank you for the review. We're just looking to try something new. We've eaten at the RFC a few times and the food is fine, not exceptional but fine and if T-Rex is a point above that, it's certainly wirth trying.

Thanks Again!

We ate there the first time this past Sunday and really enjoyed it. We all thought the food was good and my girls really loved the decorations. I have to say, we sat right beside a baby wooly mammoth and little kids would come look at it not knowing it would move and then when it did, their reactions were great. We had fun there.

We ate there two weeks ago and really enjoyed it. We were going more for the atmosphere vs the food, but were pleasantly surprised, as the food was great! If you drink, you have to try a cotton-ini ... it was delicious!

We ate there last December and had a great time! I had the lasagna and it was great. The service was prompt, and our waitress was very friendly. I will say that it gets VERY noisy at times! My mom, hubby son and I had a good experience.

I called there a couple of weeks ago to get a ressie during our trip to WDW. I got 11:00 and the host said that is right at opeing for the day. I wish they had breakfast though.

We enjoyed it when we tried it this past Dec.. Food was very good as was the service. :)

Thank you all for sharing your opnions and reviews. T-Rex, making an ADR today. Sounds like a plan!

P.S. I love the picture of the tuna appetizer, who would have believed I'd eat raw fish!

We loved T-Rex! The food was MUCH better than RFC! The atmosphere was really cool! And FYI... the french onion soup was amazing! YUMMY!

We went in December and just shared a couple of appetizers and had drinks. The food and service were good and the atmosphere is great. DS (9) absolutely loved it. A few of pics:

We were at T-Rex on 3/12/09 for dinner. It was my DH, DS, and myself. Worst service ever. And the food was mediocre. I'm glad we ate there once just to see what it was like. :sad2: :sad2:

I do hope you have a better experience than we did.

Where do you call to make a ressie? I've caled WDW DINE twice and both times they told me it was walk up only-no reservations.

Nevermind--I found it. It is (407) 828-TREX
