For a meat lover- which would you recommend?
We're on the dining plan so price isn't an issue (assuming all entrees are covered by the plan..?)

I've been eyeing the ribs on both menus. Anyone tried them?

I'll be going with my sister who doesn't do seafood and it seems there's a lot of that at Rainforest. But in general both menus sound similar.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

We prefer Rainforest just for the décor! And you are correct, their menus & food are similar. If you love dinosaurs then by all means try out T-Rex!

We have eaten at both places. The service at TREX was very very very slow when we went, but it could of been an off day for them, lol...I never say they have bad service until I experience that multiple times, lol. The food their was just ok for us...Nothing special about it...My kids were younger then so they weren't really into the whole dinosaur thing, lol, so the meal was just ok for us. Now last year we ate at Rainforest. The service was great! We were seating right when we got there and their food was delicious. I ordered their turkey club sandwich bc I wanted something light and the sandwich was HUGE I could only eat half of it and it came with a side that I only had like 3 bites out of that before I was full, lol...I actually took a picture of my food bc I could not believe how big it was LOL

Anyways when we go back to Disney next year my kids are older now and want to give TREX another try bc they are into the whole dinosaur thing now...so we will see how that goes :-)

Neither..... There are so many better restaurants at WDW not owned by landrys. I say this as someone who is a native Houstonian, home of Landry's and Tilman Fertitta. He's made billions off charging expensive prices for mediocre food. The Rainforest Cafes here are terrible, so if you're dead set on one, I'd go with T-Rex.

We chose T Rex last summer because there are 2 Rainforest Cafes near our home. I was pleasantly surprised at the food, it was really good. Thought the service was fairly good too, nothing that stood out, but nothing bad either. If you choose T Rex, I recommend not sitting in the "ice cave". The lighting was really harsh on the eyes, other than that we enjoyed it and will be returning this summer.

Rainforest Cafe for us. Safari Soup is one of my favourites. The ribs there are ok, nothing great but not bad.

Thanks- I loved the theming in both places (from the pictures at least) and I'm a carnivore so all those meat dishes sound great! I don't have a very high standard food-wise :D

T-Rex food is better. But which atmosphere appeals to you more?
Thank you- I have no idea :-) I've looked through pictures and they both seem so unique, it's hard to choose!

Thanks for the tip re the ice cave. I'll make sure to steer clear!

Thank you for your input!
