T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe?

We are three adults, going to Disney in November. One has never been to Disney before, and is beyond excited.

I just booked our plane tickets, which were cheaper than I budgeted, and put us getting in at 8:00 AM, instead of 3:00 PM like I thought would happen.

I am debating kicking our trip off with a bang at one of the theme restaurants in DTD. We will spend the day there, probably at DisneyQuest for the first day.

I have two questions:

1) Can you leave Disney Quest for lunch then come back in the same day?

2) Which do you prefer--TRex or RFC? Why? Which would you go to with no kids? Just something to entertain the grownups.

We will be going to Raglan Road that evening, if it helps.

Personally, I would chose T-Rex over RFC. (We have RFC here locally that we go to frequently) Plus I think the food is better at T-Rex.

In general, we like both restaurants - but T-Rex is newer, the food was fantastic, and the service was quick & friendly. We're going there again in October and I can't wait! :woohoo:

Thanks for the recommendations. I am sooo tempted to book T-Rex, but I worry it may be too ridiculous for 3 adults, with no kids.

I've been a couple of times and would say most parties had no kids. Either is good, but T-Rex is certainly something very different and fun.

There are plenty of adult-only groups at every restaurant, so I wouldn't worry about that aspect at all. I also prefer T-Rex, primarily because there is a Rainforest Cafe near my hometown.

We are all adults, no kids! It's definitely NOT a "kids only" type of place!

I would say T-REX. to our surprise we really enjoyed our lunch there last december. we just walked in not expecting much and the food i thought was excellent.

T-Rex, IMO has better food and service than RC. We've eaten there twice and had good food, great service and a great decor.

First off... you will see LOTS of adult groups all over Disney!! We go 2-3 times a year and we have no kids. I guess we are big kids! You will have a blast... and personally I think it is more fun for the adults not having to worry about kids. Not that kids aren't fun at Disney cause they are seeing their faces but I personally love not having to worry about them! Maybe someday!

We actually love TRex. We would definitely choose TRex over RFC. We like RFC but we like the food better at TRex, it seems that it is a better selection.

No matter what you decide you will have a great time! Let me know if you need any adult ideas I would be happy to help!

1. YES
2. T-REX
I like both resturants but if I had to pick one it would be T-Rex. Both have the same food.

Actually, it is my tradition when I arrive (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) to take the water taxi over to DTD from POR and sit in the RFC and watch a football game or two at the bar.

This past year, I went to T-Rex and it was really, really fun. I liked their drink menu a bit more.

T-Rex is a must each and every trip to Disney. The food is very good, and the drink list is divine. If you like bruschetta, they have the best that I've ever had!!! ( Saying a lot, because I always order it if it's on the menu.)
The portions here are huge. We've found that it's better for the two of us to order one appetizer, one entree' to share, then ...maybe...we can share a dessert. We are hearty eaters too!! Also, ask to sit in the Ice Age room, it's a lot of fun and COLD!!

We've also eaten at Rainforest, and although the atmosphere is fun, the food here pales in comparison to T-Rex IMHO of course. ;)

Enjoy!!
