we plan to eat at T-Rex on our arrival day which is Friday Oct 9th. we plan to arrive at resort by noonish and check in, then use the pool until our room is ready. so we don't know for sure what time we will want to go eat but I'm guessing after 7 pm... should I make an ADR or would it be smarter to just use our Landry's Select Club card for priority seating.. does anyone have past experience with this and know the approximate wait time when using the priority seating? thanks in advance :)

We haven't done T-Rex, but we have done Rainforest Cafe. It was busy and we did not make ADR's. I put our name on the list and showed my Landry's card, and we were seated in less than 15 minutes, bypassing tons of aggravated people giving us dirty looks.

I would not make an ADR since it is your arrival day and anything can happen or you change your mind. If you do an ADR via Disney you have the CC guarantee. I would either call the restaurant direct and make a penalty-free reservation or just use your Landry Card. Priority is always better than the regular folks but we have had waits of 30 minutes when DTD is busy. You are talking a Friday night which is very busy, 3 parks close early and it's a long weekend.

good advise ... I think I will call T Rex direct and make a reservation for the time frame we will most likely be there (just in case they are super busy) but show our club card upon arrival

We used the Landry Card last year (August visit) and bypassed those that had been waiting. I know one person commented they had been waiting 45 minutes. I think we were seated within 10 minutes of arrival.

We just went to TRex on Saturday, June 13th for dinner at around 5pm. It was packed and I didn't have a reservation but I had my Landry's Select Card.

I was waiting in the line to check in and I heard the worker telling people there was a 45 minute wait.
When it was my turn and I showed her my card, told her I had 10 in my party and she said to take my entire party up to the roped off line. We were seated within 5 minutes!!! My husband was really impressed with me LOL :)

We love T-Rex, but like you, have planned to go here on our arrival day. I had an ADR booked through Disney with CC, but cancelled it a couple of weeks ago and phoned in to make a reservation through the restaurant, just in case we are delayed on our flight. I also have a Landry card. The time I wanted was available at T-Rex (I think that there are lots of times available through phoning in). Good luck:-)
