SWW 2013:One tiny goal: A picture with every character!-New 6/11 - Link to TR

Oh boy..I seem to have fallen a bit behind and now have 3 updates to comment on!

First, your down day sounds great! I love just lounging at the pool with nowhere to go! I've never seen the water pageant...it looks cool! And from the Poly beach? What's not to like!

I'd love to try the food at Crystal Palace, but Pooh characters just don't really interest my boys. :sad1: Strange because I remember a day when my oldest wanted to watch his Pooh movie over and over again. Time just goes by too fast.

As far as the No, Maybe lists...here are the things that stood out to me.

--I love the afternoon parade at MK. But....if MK is not your fave, I can see why this may not make the cut.

--The Muppets crack me up! And, for me, are very nostalgic. I'd go see that one.

--Again, I can't explain why, but Living with the Land fascinates me and my boys really like it as well.

And, I see that you've never been on the Carousel of Progress. Surprisingly, my boys love this attraction. I was just glad they agreed to try it, but now it's a must-do. We still break out into the song on occasion! :goodvibes

LOVE the flip flops! Nice choices! :thumbsup2 Vacation shopping is AWESOME! :woohoo:

We will try to fit all three of these in. I am not sure why I do not make more time for the parades:confused3 I think the inevitable confrontation that always comes at the end when someone trys to jump in front of you at the last minute is a turn off for me. Maybe we will watch the parade in Frontierland?

I think I am having a hard time adjusting to the fact that we will be there for 2 whole weeks. It is hard for me to accept the fact that we can go to a park for a few hours and just do a couple of things. For us it has always been full park day or complete down day. There was never any middle ground - well with the exception of EPCOT which we pop in and out of all the time because of our location. ::yes::

Omg, I've been reading your PTR on and off all night, and your plans sound AWESOME! :thumbsup2 I love that it's so easy for you to run over and ride Soarin because BC is so close to Epcot. :rotfl2: I cannot WAIT to stay at BC and be able to do the same thing!

SWW look awesome! We've never been able to go bc we've never been able to go to WDW when they fall, but we're all big Star Wars fans, so one day we'll have to plan a trip so we can go!

Can't wait for more! :goodvibes

I love that it's so easy for you to run over and ride Soarin because BC is so close to Epcot. :rotfl2:

:welcome: This is the bigggest reason why we love the EPCOT resort area. Although this is our fist time staying at BC we have stayed at BW many times. Soarin is my favorite ride and it is my goal to ride it at least once a day on every trip. I love that DH, DS and I can all walk throught the gates at International gateway and then I can take their tickets and run to get the FPs and they can head right back to the resort. It takes less than 6 minutes total for them to walk over with me so it barely interrupts their pool time at all.

Once again I forgot to mention where we plan to eat on Day 13. So here is an update to that days plans:

DS has plans to go back to the Sandle Castle club and DS and I plan to eat dinner here:

We actually ate here during our 2011 trip and I really enjoyed the Crab Legs. I think I ate three lbs on my own:scared1:

Omg, that sounds so stinkin fabulous. :cloud9:

We've actually never stayed at the Epcot resort area, but I have a feeling this trip won't be our last staying over there. We're excited about being so close to World Showcase, but yeah, being that close to Soarin (our favorite Epcot ride) will be awesome as well!!! :woohoo:

Day 14 – Thur. June 6th

This will be our second to the last day of vacation. Although I have plans for this day that may all change based on how well we do with the schedule the first 13 days.

This day will be a morning EMH day for MK. As a rule, we avoid parks that have EMH but I think we will make an exception and arrive at MK in time to enter the park at 8am. Since we will have already seen the opening show twice during this trip I will be happy if we get to MK right at 8am.

Our focus will be to see any attraction that we did not get to on the other 2 days we were there. If my plans go perfectly that means our morning will look like this:

I will run and get FPs for this first:

While I am doing that I am sure that DH and DS will go ahead and ride Tomorrowland Speedway and Buzz Lightyear one time. Then they will meet me in Fantasyland to ride this:

We also want to see this:

We will finish up at MK with a CS lunch and then head back to the resort for a little bit of swimming.

We will hang out at the pool until it is time to get cleaned up for dinner. We have dinner reservations here:

After dinner we will hang out in EPCOT(and probably ride Soarin) and then we head over to spend some time on the Boardwalk before calling it a night.

03/20/13 - Life update

We did something yesterday that we only do every 10-12 years. My DH bought a new car:cool1: (well a truck actually). We are the type that drive our cars forever. His existing truck is a 2001 and even though it is still in excellent shape we thought it was time for him to get a new one.

His father is retired from Ford so we choose the 2013 F150. We get a pretty significant discount when we buy Fords. Also his old truck is an F150 and we have never put a penny into that truck that was not maintenance related (knock on wood ). We are giving his old truck to our DS25.

So here are some pictures of the one he choose. I will say I am not thrilled with the color. I did not want two toned. However, we took a facebook vote and enough people liked the two toned that I could not talk him out of it.:confused3 O-well it will grow on me I am sure.

It is hard to tell in the picture but the color is a very dark brown.

I was amazed by the amount of room in the back seat. My DS8 could stand completely up back there.

We are planning a trip to Cleveland to visit my DHs family the second week of April. It is a 12 hour drive for us so we will really break the truck in then.

My DS was very excited when he got off the bus from school yesterday and saw the new truck. He thought it was awesome but was somewhat disappointed when he realized it did not have internet.:rotfl2: We have had a car since before he was born that had a DVD player so that is no big deal to him.

When I think back to the many trips I took with my family as a child and the way we entertained ourselves in the car the difference is amazing!

Today is our 60 day mark so I will do a little dance!
:cool1::cheer2::cool1::cheer2::cool1::cheer2:

I have started my countdown to-do list. So far this is what I have:

60 - 30 days:
1) Reservations at the Pet Hotel for the dogs(we have 3)
2) Per-order Photopass+
3) Order APs from AAA
4) Disney Gift cards (I have until Mar 31st to get them at Kroger for 4x fuel points)
5) Create countdown chain
6) Lose 20 lbs!:furious:(maybe if I put it on the list it will happen:confused3)

T-30 days
1) Start 30 day countdown
2) Summer cloths for DS(He will need all new things since he has grown out of everything from last summer)
3) Disney Ts for DH and I
4) Tan (yes I will go to the tanning bed - I like to have some tan before heading to Florida)
5) Pedi
6) Hair cuts all around

Well it looks like I have lost the few followers I had so I think I am going to close this PTR down. If anyone is still following along and wants me to keep going let me know you are out there and I will keep posting.

If not, maybe I will see you again after my trip if I have the energy for a TR:).

Hope everyone has fun on their trips:yay:

Oooh. LOVE the truck. DH is truckless at the moment and, oh, how it pains him. lol. He would be drooling if he saw this beauty. Actually, I'm drooling.

:cool1: 60 DAYS!!! :cheer2:

I'm with you on listing the weight loss. I'm just NOT there right now. I'll lose a couple pounds, then lose all motivation. It's just s...l...o...w going. lol.

The hair cuts are a good idea. I never think of that. I may have to add that to my ever growing To Do list.

Please, don't give up on us just yet. The party's just starting!!!
