Sounds like a great way to connect with family and enjoy Disney at the same time!

Sounds like a great way to connect with family and enjoy Disney at the same time!![]()
We have 11 days, and people say, how can that not be enough time? HA!
Woohoo!! Shopping! I was just starting to think about shoes. So, flipflops in the park works for you? I'm trying to decide what to do and I don't have any of those Teva's, although my mom and sister love them. Good for all day, huh?
I'm going have to try those out. When we go to Sea World I wear adidas ones.
We will also be at HS on June 2nd! We are not going to try to do anything but Star Wars stuff though. As for the MK, we go on day 2, then not again until day 10! DH has a problem with that, so our day 8 break day might be a MK day too! Of course, with park hoppers, we could always go over there one afternoon...It is so hard to decide how many times to go to each park! We have 11 days, and people say, how can that not be enough time? HA!
Time to Shop!

Its 76 days until our vacation so I decided it is time to start shopping. The first thing I went looking for is new shoes. I prefer to wear flip flops when we go to the park but need to have really comfortable ones. I looked at a lot of shoes and finally decided to buy an old favorite.
Teva Mush:

I got 4 pair. The three in the picture above and a plain black pair. I first discovered these shoes in 2010 and loved them. However, Teva changed the design the next year and introduced Teva Mush II. They had a lot of new patterns so I eagerly bought two pair for our 2011 trip. I hated them! The new design was horrible and they were no longer good for spending full days walking the parks. The good news is that lots of people complained and Teva brought back the original mush in 2012. So I was able to buy two pair for our 2012 trip(they only brought back 2 patterns at first). I was very happy to find out that there are now 6 patterns to choose from.
We took a two week trip in 2010. I felt like we missed all kinds of things. lol. I could give you a pretty lengthy list of all the attractions we haven't done yet.
I know what you mean about the days...we had a tough time with that also. And we did make a lot of changes on the fly during that trip. The crowds at MK drive DH nuts, so we didn't spend nearly enough time there, in my opinion.
Good Luck with your plans! Sounds like a wonderful trip to me!!
Hmmm, wonder if I would like those. I'm in the market for some sandals too, but I'm very picky. They can NOT feel like I'm standing FLAT. I need a bit of a heel or some sort of arch support. They don't have to be "soft" exactly, just not as flat as most feel.
Thank you! Will it say "original" in the description?
Edited: Ok, I'm seeing sandals that just say mush and others that say mush II. I think I answered my own question.![]()
Day 13 Wed June 5th
Today is supposed to be another down day and if my DH asks that is exactly what it is
However, just between you and me I think it will really end up being a catch all day. I reviewed all my plans this weekend and identified the attractions we do not have plans for at each park. Then I organized them into a maybe and definitely no category. I would love to know if any of our maybes are on your must do list.
Magic Kingdom:
Maybe:
Dream Along with Mickey
Enchanted Tiki Room
Liberty Square Riverboat
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
Celebrate the Magic
A Dream Come True Parade
No:
Enchanted Tales with Belle - We will do this for the first time on our September trip with my Niece
Stitch's Great Escape! did this one last year and even DS said it was lame
Hollywood Studios:
Maybe:
American Idol Experience I think my DH would enjoy this but it might bore DS?
Great Movie Ride
Muppet Vision 3D
One Man's Dream
Sounds Dangerous not even sure when this is open????
Studios Backlot Tour
Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun
No:
Beauty and the Beast We will do this in September with my niece
Fantasmic! We have seen this in the past and are just not a big fan
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith We would love to do this but it is not worth riding solo and no way DS is going on it
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror I will try my best to get DS on this one but do not hold out much hope
Voyage of the Little Mermaid again this is a September item for my niece
EPCOT:
Maybe:
Circle of Life
Living with the Land
No:
Nothing for the EPCOT no list
Animal Kingdom:
Maybe:
Rafiki's Planet Watch this will move to the Yes list if there is a character over there I want to see
No:
Boneyard I may cave on this one but honestly it feels a lot like playgrounds we have at home
Expedition Everest another one we would love to do but probably wont talk DS into
Finding Nemo - The Musical We did this in 2009 and it was just too long for DS to sit through
I would love any feedback on any attractions that are not definitely planned for us that you think are must dos.
The big thing I love about Teva Mush is the fact that they form to your foot. I have a huge arch and after wearing them a couple of days my shoes have a huge arch. They even recommend that you not allow others to wear them(my daughter wears my same size and will take my shoes sometimes - I do not allow her to touch my Mush.
I highlighted the ones I like best.
Don't know why, but I have always loved Great Movie Ride. And it seems like I notice something new every time.
Muppets are just fun.
I have no explanation for Living with the Land, but we always put that one on our list. Just unique, I guess.
I LOVED Finding Nemo. I wouldn't miss that one.
I didn't bother highlighting the coasters since you've got a legitimate reason to avoid them, but they would be on my "don't miss" list otherwise!![]()
And that's probably my problem with most sandles. I have no arches. I wear an insole in my tennis shoes most of the time, or use a shoe with a bit of a heel. I have a feeling these won't work for me. Bummer. They are really cute.
