SWW 2013:One tiny goal: A picture with every character!-New 6/11 - Link to TR

I love that countdown chain! Too cute!

:thumbsup2

And all the pictures from Disney on Ice are awesome. We've never gone to one of those shows. Maybe I can take my grands someday?

Absolutely! Although I have an 8 year old, I also have a 25 and 21 year old so I have already started making plans for stuff I want to do with my grandkids:cool1:

Sorry the end of the show was a little dashed for your son. I would have thought the same thing if I had seen that advertisement. :headache:

Thank goodness I could remind him that we will be seeing the Lion King show at Disney in less than a month. :cheer2:

I agree that the face characters need to look like the real thing...it's kind of jarring if they don't! But..for those not sitting as close to the action, it was probably less obvious!

Sorry about the meltdown. :( We've all been there!

The cost would be $553.00 for adults and $543.00 for children(without tax).

Just started reading your posts today. I am getting some ideas from your plan. We will be there from May 20-26 and I just started planning. We decided 2 weeks ago to plan the trip.

Have you looked at buying AP from ITT at your local base or Shades of Green on property? Last October we baught Weekday AP from Shades of Green and they were $194 ea and I think the standard AP is $415 this year for both adults and children.

Looking forward to the rest of your journey.

:welcome: We are not military. We just have been blessed to travel with some military family for a couple of trips so I honestly never looked into getting AP through the base. Probably something I should have considered especially if military can buy them for family and friends as I have lots of military family:) oh-well already purchased through AAA.

Looks like you leave in 2 days:cool1: Sometimes the last minute trips are the best ones of all:goodvibes

It is hard for me to believe that we will be sitting beside the pool at Beach Club at this time next week. I am both excited and stressed. Work has never been busier and anyone that has grade school kids know that the last couple of weeks at school are crazy and require a lot of parent involvement! So I am way behind on getting my stuff together. That goodness I have used the same packing list for the past 5 trips. I can at least rest easy knowing I will not forget anything.

The chain is much shorter now. The one nice thing about making a whole Mickey for each day is that I can reuse the chain for our September trip.

I finally brought my Disney tub up from the basement and Gabriel and I went through it to see what we wanted to bring for this trip.

I am also determined to be completely packed this weekend. I ran to Walmart last night and purchased all new health and beauty aids. I find it easier to do this rather than run around the morning we leave throwing stuff into the H&B bag.

I also had to buy Gabriel all new cloths for this summer. My little guy is a very slow grower. Hes going to be 9 in September and just made it into size 8 shirts and 7/8 shorts. He has been wearing size 5/6 for the last two summers. Unlike a lot of people I HATE to shop in brick and mortar stores. I have honestly not stepped foot into a mall in about 5 years. I do love to shop online though and am a proud member of Amazon Prime! However, I knew I could not replace Gabriels whole wardrobe using Amazon so I made a trip to the outlet mall last weekend and went to town. I got some really awesome deals. Most of what I got went straight into the suitcase for our trip. Spring has been slow coming to the south this year. We were still experiencing night time temps into the 40s as of late last week. So Gabriel was not in immediate need of his new summer cloths for school. With only 3 school days left I should be able to do a very small load of laundry Thursday morning and throw everything he used right back into the suitcase.

I also ordered some T-shirts from Disney. I was late in placing my order so there was not a lot left for Gabriel but I was able to get some cute shirts for myself.

I also finally accepted the fact that I have to go back to my:

Last year right before our September trip I splurged and bought myself an Its a small world leSportsac bag. I got the:

I LOVE the design but the bag simply has too much free space for me. I need everything in its own little spot so I do not have to root around to find something. So the LeSportsac will not be coming with me this year.

Time to get back to my packing! Hopefully I will be able to do a couple more updates before we leave.

SO CLOSE!

I love all the shirts, but the Snow White one is my favorite. I want one, but have yet to bite the bullet and pay the money the Disney Store wants! Very cute!

I'm right there with you with the bag issue. I need to be able to find things quickly...no digging around for me! A place for everything! :thumbsup2

Wow, getting CLOSE!!!

And I love the t-shirts, especially the Wicked Witch. I've got a soft spot for her.

I used to LOVE this bumper sticker:

I've also got this t-shirt:

I tried the Bagallini on our 2010 trip, and kept forgetting what pocket I put things in. :rotfl2: So, this year, I'm taking my favorite Disney bag:

For some reason, I can't get a picture to load. But, it's a black and white damask hidden mickey bag. Love it! I used it the last few days of our 2010 trip and was comfortable, so I know it'll be fine.

And for Universal, I've got a fanny pack that can be worn like a shoulder bag. So, I'll sling it most of the time, and put it on my waist for the rides. I hate messing with lockers. :headache:

So close is right. I am in full blown panic mode at this point. Thank goodness tomorrow is Gabriel's last day at school and I am finally wrapping things up at work! Hoping to have most of Thursday to finish last minute packing and get the car loaded.

I went back to see what I paid for the Snow White shirt as I am not one to pay alot for cloths. I did get it on sale for $12.00:cool1:

I think the most important thing about a bag is that you are comfortable with it. That makes all the difference. I feel the same way about lockers. See no value is them unless I could carry it around with me:rotfl2:

I can hardly believe that we leave tomorrow. :cool1: The amazing part is that even though I worked until 6pm we are completely packed and ready to go. We will be on the road tomorrow by 8am. We would leave earlier but have to drop our dogs at the pet hotel in the morning. I will probably do a few posts during our trip and will try to get started on my TR as soon as I get back.

Have a wonderful trip! Can't wait to hear all about it and see all the character photos!!

On our way home from our best trip yet. We had the most awesome time. I will be starting my trip report soon.
