Switching to FQ from Riverside - They said NO

I just got off my third call today with a CM and was finally told that I can't switch from POR to POFQ with my Visa package. She said it is not available for any packages. Has anyone else switched with them. I thought I did the sunday after they announced the opening. I was to get a call confirming it within a week. I never heard so I called them today and that was the 3rd CM's answer when I asked why I couldn't switch. The 1st put me on hold and then I was disconnected and the 2nd just said I don't know. We really wanted to be over there. Any suggestions? YO

It may be that they are not offering your particular discount at FQ then. I changed ours from CBR to POFQ using the AP rate, but it only worked because they had openings with the AP rate when I called.

Try calling back and ask to speak with guest services. Turns out that trickier situations and problems, get handed off to them. They also seem to have the power to make some changes that the cm's are not allowed to make.

I read this somewhere else, too... that packages whose booking date had already passed would not be allowed to transfer. What a bummer.

I tried to get a Spring Magic quote at the end of last week on the Disney site and they didn't even have FQ listed as an option.

We weren't able to get POR but could get POFQ for April 6 - 10 and 4/12-13. That was on the Spring Magic. I checked the website first and POFQ wasn't an option, so it was strange that that was the only option when I called.

We love both resorts, so we're fine. I just like the marina, bikes, and food court at POR better.

BrerMama, do you remeber where you saw this? Did you try to cahnge? It looks like we'll be around at the same time. I'm gonna try guest services like honeymom said. I'll let you know what I find out. I'd like to be in newer rooms and on a smaller resort. Have agreat trip.YO

well you if you cannot get it resolved through cro you can ask politely if you could move over to the FQ when you check in at Riverside.

Same thing happened to me. I had the Visa plan and tried to switch to POFQ. I was initially told by the first person I talked to that it would be OK, but before the deal was finalized, I got disconnected I called back immediately and the next person would not transfer me to the first person and she said the switch could not be done, because FQ was not listed as having any type of discounts.
Maybe I will try again too.

I would also explain to guest services that you booked por because pofq was still closed and that you have now heard that it is reopening and you really want to stay there.

I didn't know about guest services until they helped me out with something that cm's were telling me couldn't be done the other day (I had very politely asked to speak with a supervisor). They were able to work out my situation, hopefully they can help you with yours.
