OK- Let's say that on the last day of our trip our kids (age 14 and 16) want counter service 2 times that day and we want to eat table service for lunch and dinner. Can we use their table service and they use our counter service? Are all the meals on one card for our entire room or can we split it up?

I can see this happening. They are normal teens and live off of hamburgers and such and we'd rather eat "real" food.

How does Disney sort it out (room keys, vouchers, ??) Is this possible to do?
I guess I don't understand the system.

Since your kids are *adults* (as far as the DDP is concerned) No one will notice who ate which credits. :thumbsup2

Would we have to be with them to order their meals or can they have a card of their own?
How does Disney do this? Is it on our room keys? If it is then do we have to be with them and order all of their meals since it will have our name on the key?
Sorry if I sound confused... I really am.

From what I can remember, that is all attached to your room key card. So if you and your husband have one key, and your kids have another key, both groups would be able to get dinner at the same time, at different places. The card will just show them how many credits you have, based on the number of adults in your room. So since you have 4 adults, the card will show that you will have 4 snacks, 4 counter service, and 4 table services credits for each night of your stay. If you really wanted to, you and your husband could use all of the table service credits, and your kids could use all of the counter service credits if you never wanted to eat together. Disney doesn't really care who in your group uses them.

Oh, and they don't check names at all. I've never travelled with kids, so I'm not sure how they would handle that. But I'm guessing you had to tell Disney their names as well when you made your ressie. So actually, their names would also be on the key cards. I hope I'm making sense here!

Thanks!
We went through eating at different places on our last trip- my DH and I wanted Boma and the kids wanted Mara for hamburgers. We had to relent and eat at Mara. We got a chicken sandwich and Zebra Cakes, so all was not lost. The kids are older now and I would not be opposed to breaking up and eating what we want, but I didn't know if it was possible.
Thanks!!!
