OK we are book at BLT in a one bedroom on points for five nights in a standard room in July. We wanted to add three nights at the beginning of our trip and wanted to pay cash. The only room available with DVC on cash was TPV...so I booked this. MS did link our reservation and we will be on the dining plan. I do have a few questions.

1. When we check out of the TPV and in to the standard room will we have to use all of our dining credits for the first part of our trip or will they carry over?
2. Will we be without a room until the 4:00 check in time?
3. CRO does have a standard room available that I could possibly get with AAA discount. Would this be a better option? (only problem is that I would have to buy a ticket in order to get dining) Also, if I do this do I have to check in and out from the cash to the points ressie??

Thanks for any help! Just not sure what to do. I have been calling weekly to see if anything has opened up in the standard view. :)

Yes you will have until midnight to use up the points from the 1 portion.

It may mean you are without a room until after 4pm.

I did not think you could link a CRO reservation with DVC so you may have to change room any way. So I am not sure a CRO reservation would be worth it.

The CRO reservation may not be the same "standard" view. You will have to check out and check back in and might not be in the same room.

Since you are in two different room types, your dining plan credits will also be separate.

That means any credits from the cash nights will expire at midnignt on the check in day of the SV room. You won't be able to carry things over through the whole trip.

And, if your SV room is not ready at 11:00 when you check out of the MK view room, you will be without a place until it is.
