Switching MyDisneyExperience accounts

Hello!

Sorry if this has been asked before!

I received a Disney Annual Pass for the holidays and it is already activated in my name. The problem is, the pass is linked to the person who bought it for me on the My Disney Experience app, and so I can't make reservations, fast passes, etc. without trying to log in as her and I feel sketchy doing that.
Does anyone know if I can remove my pass from her account on the app and on to my own account?
I know that the rule is you cannot reassign to somebody else if it's already been activated. But this is more of a question on if I can switch the account the pass is on.

A pass can't be activated any way but in person so if you haven't done that yet it shouldn't be truly active. If that's the case and your MDE account and theirs are connected the person who purchased it *should* be able to reassign it to the "real" you. If your accounts aren't connected do that first and then try.

Sounds like the MDE account where your AP was purchased has YOU as a managed profile and you have your own MDE account and they are not connected via the Family & Friends list.

If so, the other MDE account holder (where the AP is currently) can click on 'Update' for your profile that they manage, click on 'Invite to Connect', enter the email address you used to create YOUR MDE account and then click 'Yes'. You will then need to accept the friend request and once you do, the AP will transfer over to your MDE account.
