Poohbear,
I think it all depends on your style of travel/packing. Does it bother you to pack everything up and get it to the car (will you have a car?)? We love to switch resorts. In fact, this June we start at Wilderness Lodge for 6 nights, move to the Swan for 3 nights, move to AKL for 6 nights, then back to the Swan for 4 nights. As you can see, I think it's well worth the small hassle to change resorts. Here is how my family does it--
On the morning of the move, We get up around 8:00 and I do express check-out so as not to have to go to the front desk. After checking the bill left on the door, we literally throw everything into the suitcases and call bell services to come get the bags. My wife waits with the bags while I go to self-parking to get the van. Usually, my wife and kids are waiting at the front door with the bags by the time I pull the car around. Then, ask the bellman for directions to the next resort, and we're off. At the next resort, we store the bags with bell services, stop by the front desk to check-in, get some breakfast at the resort (you should do BOMA after checking-in), and then it's off to the parks until 2 or 3 at which time the new room should be ready for your return and inspection.
Doing this, we find swapping resorts to be a great experience. It's almost as if we have a new vacation with each move. I hope this helps you, and i hope you give it a try
