Our group is really torn on which dining time is best for us!

We have early dining at 5:45. If we get on board and decide that it isn't for us, can we switch over to late dining? I assume early dining will stay fully booked but later dining has more flexibility?

Yes, I've always heard later dining has more space. I'd keep the early dining and then switch.

It is usually easier to switch from early to late, but availability will depend on how full is your cruise and the size of your group. Moving 4 or 6 people is much easier than a group of 8 and more, since those require very specific tables, or a cluster of available tables next to each other.

When is your cruise? Haha. We have late and want early!
Request Early in the app or by calling DCL. They will not do it immediately but waitlist you. They move those who requested a few weeks before the cruise. They only release a small portion of early dining spots online and manage the rest ‘by hand’ based on requests. They do so since they know families with small children or elderly guests need early and it could be difficult for them to get an early spot if all tables were made available to anyone.
