Switched to free dining Help price is weird

Okay I'm helping a friend modify her original trip, she had the kids play/stay free and her original total was $1,009 so we called to switch to free dining(her dates are 9/17-9/22) and we got a total of 1,334.57. Okay here is the weird thing, when we go thru the special link for the free dining offer we get that total, BUT when we just book thru the regular link on tthe front page of the WaltDisneyworld site it gives us a total of 1,243.67?????? So what is the difference, it is looking like she is paying more just for going thru the free dining link????? I'm so totally confused

I figured it out, that is with the Photo Pass book, so what exactly is that?
