Swine flu parties?!

Yep, watching a news piece here that is talking about parents having "Swine Flu" parties.

I can't believe this is true. You think they made it up?

OK after reading this, it appears they are reporting what they hear on the internet.

While it's not clear if any swine flu parties have been held, Justine Roberts, the founder of Web site mumsnet, today told BBC Radio 4 that some people have been discussing the idea.

That would be very foolish.... but it would not surprise me to see someone do this...

I have to think some parents will/have been stupid enough to entertain this thought. Maybe some have even actually carried it out.

Based on how different each individual is impacted by this flu, I think its a TERRIBLE idea. Putting kids at risk is never a good idea. I remember the chicken pox parties too.

I'm sure there will be. Some folks have chicken pox parties. It doesn't bother me one way or another.
