We will be going to Typhoon lagoon and Blizzard beach this year and I was wondering if you can wear shorts and t-shirt over your swimsuit in the water ?
I'm a bit worried about going in the water in just a swimsuit as i'm a bit on the large size. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. :)

I believe it's only swim wear. I remember seeing signs stating no street clothing. There are swimsuits out there that have skirts or athletic shorts. I know I typically wear a swimsuit with boy shorts. Check out Lands End or LL Bean.

Just a word of caution ~ last year I wore board shorts and with all of the walking, my thighs became very chafed. (sp?)

Hubby and son had the same thing.

I am wearing a swim skirt this year. Hopefully that will help.

I always wear a T shirt over my suit because I burn so badly and easily and have worn the T at both Disney water parks. Just wear an oversized T over your suit and skip the shorts. My latest suit has a skirt on it so one like that would also give you extra coverage along with the T.

You can buy a swimsuit cover. They certain ones that are designed so you can wear in the water (kind-of like mesh material) it's not too bulky and it dries easy.

My DSis always wears board shorts (and she's the skinny one in the family-if I had her body I would never cover it up! :rotfl2: ) And towards the end of the day, my DM, DD7, and myself usually end up putting on a t-shirt so we don't get burned. No one has every said anything to us about it, and I've seen plenty of people doing the same thing.

Also, just so you know, while I too would like to be smaller, I have to say that at both BB, and TL, I feel very comfortable walking around in just my one-piece. There are so many different sized people there that you may quickly become comfortable with your size. It's not like the Travel Channel shows show, not everyone walking around is wearing a bikini! (and has the body for it :rotfl2: ).

But, don't worry, if you're uncomfortable, wear your t-shirt and shorts. Personally, I agree with PP about the chafing from shorts, and I would just wear a long t-shirt, or some other type of cover-up. Just remember, people really aren't looking at you, they're having too much fun!

For me, I actually worry more about how I look after a full day in the water parks. No makeup, hair is a mess, tired, and wet. So, when I'm walking from our car to our room, I always wear my hat and sunglasses, oh and my wrap around my waist. That covers it!

Have a great time-we love the water parks! :cloud9:

You can wear what you want, but it is a pool !There is great gift shop also, if you forget anything,
