Should pool be a deciding factor for resort stay at Pres week or is it just too cold?

We've gone in late Jan. and early Feb. before. It wasn't to colds for pools (I think they are all heated). The only time there was an issue was the time we went in late Jan. (the year the Tampa Buccs won the Superbowl) there was an huge cold front up & down the East Coast including FL, but it was only for the first 2 days and then it got better. Early Feb. is my FAVORITE time to go to WDW! I think all of WDW's pools are heated, but I'd call the resorts you are looking at to make sure. I know Yacht & Beach Club pools are heated.

You just never can tell. Daytime temps can range anywhere from the low 80s to the low 50s. The pools are heated but on cooler days, getting out can be EXHILARATING. :cold:

Are you from colder climes? Northerners are often just fine swimming in Florida, even in the winter.

being that you are from NY, i'm sure you will be swimming unless it is really unseasonably cold for your whole trip. my dad lives in tampa, and although he wouldn't go swimming in jan. where we were there, our DD's sure enjoyed it!!

the disney pools are heated and are really very warm. however, i still wouldn't use a pool as a deciding factor in february. august yes, feb. no!!

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!

I was in Orlando this past February right before Presidents' Day Weekend. On Tuesday and Wednesday it was beautiful, at least 75 degrees, perfect for swimming. By the weekend it was only 65 degrees. I am from the north and it would have been a little too cold for me to swim. You might be able to swim, but you might not. I wouldn't spend too much extra money for an awesome pool. On a positive note, we had beautiful blue sky and sunshine for our five day trip. It was a fabulous break from winter! Hope you have a wonderful trip! :flower:
