We ate at the Sweet Tomato on Kirkman Road on our trip 2 weeks ago, and it was awesome! I heard about it on this board and it sounded good, so what the heck...we tried it. I'm sooo glad we did. It is the mother of all salad bars first of all....delicious specialty salads (the pear-feta cheese-walnut is my fave), plus there is a pasta bar with 3 hot pastas, baked potato bar, 5 soups, and a fresh fruit selection. It was delicious. I can't remember the per person price, but I *think* it was around $23 for me, DH, and 7 yo DD.

If you are a buffet person this is a definate must.

Isn't it amazing that 3 people can eat for the price of one at a Disney buffet? It's not the same type of food, but it is very good, and filling!

We love Sweet Tomatoes & it's a must-do for every trip to Florida! :)

Sweet tomato is a great buffet restaurant, I have one near my house.
My only thing with eating outside the resort area at chain restaurants is that I don't feel like I'm on vacation.

It's right on the corner of I-Drive and Kirkman. They call it the
International Drive location.

I, too, have read the numerous posts on the boards about how
good Sweet Tomatoes was but it just didn't seem that enticing
to me before. Well, we were in Orlando two weeks ago and one
night it was dinnertime but we weren't THAT hungry so I figured
a salad bar might be a good choice. Boy, am I ever glad we went.
It was excellent. The operative word here is FRESH!
We usually do the buffet at Golden Corral, which we like. (Although not the I-Drive location, service there is the worst of
any GC we've ever been to, and we've eaten in many!) Anyway,
we'll definitely be visiting Sweet Tomatoes again. The salad with
the pears, walnuts and crumbled bleu cheese is to die for! I
hope that's a regular menu item.

Thanks for the tip...we'll try it on our next trip!

Hello there! Does anyone remember the prices per person for dinner? - sheilap, thanks for suggesting this restaurant and for mentioning the approx price, did you go for lunch or dinner? We don't have any of these restaurants where I live so it would be cool to try it out, it looks pretty yummy.

Thanks!

As to pricing, I just searched out my receipt from Sweet Tomatoes, the price per adult was $8.49 and for children $4.49.
My 12 year old got the child's price so I assume that 12 is the
upper age limit for kids.

That is quite reasonable.... and it looks pretty delicious, or is that just because i'm hungry right now!

This is THE place to go with your family. Sure you can load up on heavy creamy soups and dressings, but you can also choose the lighter options. I LOVE Sweet Tomatoes, we have one locally:teeth:
