We tried most of them. I actually was trying to get her to try the Beverly so I could get a picture of her reaction. Well, she took a little sip, and was just like, "oh, well, that's nasty" without the funny reactions that I've heard about on here!

Thanks! She loves to take pictures. That's why on all of my TR's, I have more pictures posted than I do words!

I know, I always laughed when reading about people's reactions to the Beverly. But I even thought my DD's "non-reaction" was funny too! Just "Oh, well, that's nasty", and moving right along!

I'm not sure if there's somewhere that people actually drink that stuff, or if it's just made to be a joke. Maybe someone on here knows the answer to that.

It was time to meet up with my Dis'er friend, Missy
(UGAFan0829) and her hubby, Mike. They live nearby and we had been trying to meet up for a while, so this time, it finally worked out!

We had been wanting to go to the "famous" Varsity in Atlanta for a while, so I had asked her about going. I didn't know this, but there is another Varsity (other than the famous one) in the Atlanta area, so we decided to go to that one, hoping it wouldn't be as crowded as the other one probabaly would be, plus it was closer to them.

So we met up there and chatted and took a few pics:

We sat there and chatted for a while after we ate. We had a great time. I love how you can get to know someone on here, and become Dis-friends!!! It also helps when you're kinda similar. Well, I think we are, cause we're both quiet, southern girls! We had a few laughs and decided it was getting late, so we left there, and went to the hotel for the night.


The next morning, we had breakfast at the hotel, then decided to get our shopping on! We always love to go to the Mall of Georgia. But this time, we noticed something different. This new store that has replica outfits and stuff from movies!! We noticed this Pirates of the Caribbean display and decided to go in.

They have all these replica outfits and they actually let you to try some on! So we had fun dressing DD in the outfits!

Harry Potter section:

And I thought this was just funny, notice the dude above DD's head!

And how about some Disney stuff!!!!

So we decided to quit playing around, and get some back to school shopping done. We went to some outlet stores after we finished up there, then made a stop at Chateau Elan!

The costume museum, is that outside at the Mall of GA? I *think* I've seen it before, but have never paid it much attention! I love that they had Cinderella's slipper!

Random order of thoughts:


Although I may add more as I think of everything, I wanted to add this:


Even though this is DISNEY, it is not perfect. We had a few incidents, such as the poor stateroom attendant and cancelled excursions, but what I learned the most is that you have to make the best of any situation. I could have let these little things ruin parts of the trip, but instead we turned it into positive, mostly funny, experiences.

It bothers me sometimes, when people complain about the most tiniest problem while on these vacations. I am so grateful that I even have the opportunity to do this with my DD. After visiting a very poor part of the world last year ((Peru)and learning of the things that they have to deal with, and live with, it just makes me appreciate everything in life so much more.

Even if I can only afford an inside stateroom, or an offsite hotel at WDW, at least I do have the opportunity, and I can't complain much.

I hope you all enjoyed this TR, and I will be adding more, including our Atlanta trip, so stick with me and I'll keep it going!!!

This is so incredibly true! We often take for granted the luxuries we get. There are many AMERICAN families that cannot even pay their basic living expenses. Taking any kind of vacation is impossible.

I amglad you were able to take it all in stride. You have taught DD a valuable lesson. Making the best of something is a very good life skill to have!

That museum is right outside of the mall (food court entrance) on the left near the big fountain, you know where they have a few stores before you actually go inside? It was really neat!

After our shopping, we stopped at the Chateau Elan Inn & Winery. This place is beautiful! We always see it from the interstate but decided to stop through this time and check it out. We stopped at the front entrance to the Inn and I asked the concierge guy if it would be OK for us to tour it. He said that yes, that was fine, and for us to go over to the winery, too.

So of course we had to take a ton of pics!

Soon as we got out of the Atlanta area, we came upon a terrible wreck involving an 18-wheeler truck. DD got a couple pics of it:

It was bad. I hope everyone involved was OK.


We headed home from an exhausting, shop till ya drop weekend.
