SWEET SIXTEEN :Have they been kissed? PTR: Updated 8/15

I missed a few updates, being otherwise occupied by looking at student's books. :lmao:

But it was only 3 pages and I am caught up and ready to comment. Your cruise brunch looks like so much fun! So Carol now has Elvis as her admirer! :thumbsup2
And you got serenaded too!

As for the food ........ I am not an "expert" on "German" food, Rosie, remember - I am AUSTRIAN! :rotfl2:
But at least the red cabbage and spaetzle look close enough! ;) :goodvibes

Hope you are having a good night's sleep and a wonderful Tuesday!

Sorry Karin Got my nationalities mixed up!!:rotfl2: The Veal Alma was absolutely delish!!!The Sauerbraten was alittle to rich and sweet for me !!We English like our "Savoureys " savourey !!! As in not sweet' Hence NO maple syrup on pancakes !!!:lmao:Carol liked mine better than hers too although she liked hers . I tried the spaetzle to and it was good but my potato pancakes were outta this world . They offered the other guys so many sides but most of them picked coleslaw :lmao::lmao:

Looks like such special memories for your clients, Rosie! It was great of you to make a memory book for them.

I guess even if the food wasn't really authentic, as long as it was delicious it's all good, right!:cloud9:

The memory books are a requirment of the "Job" !! Some only do little photo albums but Carol and I like to make it more of a "Memory : Dan and Cathleen did an outstanding job on theirs !!!

Nice final update Rosie! The Lake George trip looks like a lot of fun! Good times and good eats.....who can ask for more than that!!!

And nice job on the memory books! :thumbsup2

This time the trip was super special and fun !!! It was such an inspiration to see Evelyn at 84 and having had hip replacemnt up there dancing to Elvis !!!She was an absolute JOY!!!

The restaurant meals are wonderful too I really try to find neat places for them to try !!The German restaurant was wonderful , if any of you ever go to Lake George you gotta try it and Thre Adirondack Pub !!!

Rosie, the food at the German restaurant looks authentic and good to me. I'm so upset that Biergarten was such a disappointment last September as we don't have many German restaurants around here to go to.

Nice job on the scrapbooks.

mmm spatzle thats all i have to say, but there should have been a little of the gravy on top of it to top it off.

popcorn::

why yes yes i do.

the chuck wagon is very good in the rear of the park.

toward the middle is coasters drive in which has your typical burgers type food.

there is a johnny rockets which you guys might enjoy they do the dances in there as well.

we always hit hte midway market, near the raptor as it is a buffet and pretty good amount of variety, so if you have picky eaters they can find something they like.

i have pretty much eaten at all of them, as when we go we go for about 4 days...and i have been many times, so there really isnt that bad of options for you.

good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

:thumbsup2

Thanks for the tips !!I had seen the Midway Market and told Dan that was a must do as our guys LOVE Buffets !!I have been to Johnny Rockets in Lake George area and it was wonderfuland the guys would definately dance !! Dan and me too ! Right Dan !!!:worship::rotfl2:
Have you tried the Hibachi Restaurant at one of the Hotels ????

special books Rosie, looks like a grand time :goodvibes

Thanks Jen!!

I had studied the menu much like I di for Disney and pretyy much knew what I wanted before I got there :rotfl2:

In 48 days we will be inOrlando !!!Not actually to Disney to the 19th. I just noted that AirTran NOW has a direct flight to MCO on the 18th BUT I believe they still charge $75 each to change a booking which really sucks !!!!! On Thursday I'm gonna call and see , maybe as it is a NEW flight they may not charge !! I am also planning to get back in full swing of this PTR as it is now getting really close !!!

Rosie, the cruise and German restaurant look like so much fun! I love the Memory Books and even though it is a requirement you & Carol put a lot of care into doing the ones for your group. Very nice.

Has Evelyn been on any of your other trips - do you get repeats? Like would one of the Lake George folks go one one of your Disney trips too?

WOW, I didn't realize there was so many escorts at the same time - will there also be more groups at Disney at the same time?

Is it now 47 days days until Disney?!:woohoo: How many days at Universal first? My friend Janet (also follows your PTR/TR's) is also doing Uni this year for Sam, her 13 yr old as a part of her birthday trip. They are taking a friend so can you imagine 2 new (one not quite 13 yet, but soon) doing HP together!! Mom will be left in the dust - she needs friend to tagalong!;)

Looking forward to hearing all the latest on your August Disney trip with the family!!:yay:

I posted on the thread link !!! Check out what I said !!!!

Okie dokie!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, we'll have to get 3 more jobs apiece to afford deluxe dining next year!!:scared1:

Have you read the changes? Reg DDP is will be quite expensive and the QS will only have ONE snack!!!

No where are they posted !!!

I'll find it and post it...give me a minute!!

It doesn't look that bad the way it is listed in this quote, but I don't like one snack with QS and $51.54 sure sounds like a lot for the ddp - I could easily eat on that much a day.

2012 Disney Dining Plan Brochures Published

The Wine and Dine Plan is no longer offered.

Here are the approximate prices. All prices are per night:

Quick Service Dining Plan: $34.99 per adult, $11.99 per child. This is the same pricing as in 2011, but the Quick Service Dining Plan now includes one snack per night instead of two snacks per night. In effect, that makes this a $4 or so price increase.

Disney Dining Plan: Regular Pricing is $51.54 per adult, $15.02 per child. Holiday/Peak Pricing is $53.54 per adult, $16.02 per child. This represents a $5.50 per night increase for adults and $3 per night for children. Remember that the Disney Dining Plan includes a refillable mug in 2012.

Deluxe Dining Plan: Regular Pricing is $85.52 per adult, $23.79 per child. This is a $6.50 increase for adults and a $1.80 increase per child. Holiday/Peak Pricing is $89.52 per adult and $25.79 per child. This represents a $10.80 per night increase for adults and $3.80 per night for kids.

I see it( reg.DDP) includes a mug though:banana:I still think doing the split at a Deluxe would be good !!
