Ewww!!! I looked up bedbugs!!! Some things you just shouldn't google...

This time last week I couldn't have identified a Bed Bug if my life depended on it !!Now I am a semi expert !!

Good Morning Rosie! The question about the Subs and Pizza at the Super Target is a good one I can't answer for sure since we were only in there to stock our villa at Kidani with groceries for the week. Still, I'm pretty sure they had the typical deli area with hot items so chances are they may have something pretty good you can get ready to eat for you guys.

We will have a microwave !! I just thought as it will be a little late if they had subs or pizza we could eat right away and not have to hunt for a nearby restaurant or wait for a delivery!!The kids love the microwaveable stuff anyway so it should be great!!

I am glad this week is almost over !!! Three VERY long days !!!!On Wednesday night we evacuated the consumers to a MOTEL 6 for the night !! I was sooo proud of them they were great!!No arguing and even Frank who is usually up half the night slept ALL night !!We all went out for supper to a Chinese Buffet, it is really good I ate mainly shrimp dishes and clams !!Horn Sour soup and a bunch of yummy desserts !!
The next day the Program buses picked them up at the motel and then the staff started the MAMMOUTH task of putting everything back together !! I can;t say enough about the wonderful staff I have , by evening everyone had a clean bed and clothes back in their room !! We had a few consumers bugging for pix tp be hung etc but they were told NOT TONIGHT!!!
I rush ordered plastic zippered mattress covers and pilow protectors , they arrived today and will undoubtedly be on the beds . I am sorta caught up with all my mail and financials and tomorrow I start the End of the month stuff which will prolly mean another long day !!But I am taking 2 FULL days extra off next week and plan to do some shopping use an Applebees gift card I have and just relax !!!!

Just finally home and soo looking forward to a morning off tomorrow !!I do have some very good tips for avoiding bringing home bed bugs from our BUG man. He used to work for the D.O.D and was in Afghanistan for 2 years , he said he learned a lot about Bed Bugs there !!
He says always check the mattress and box springs on the bed in your hotel room, the areas you look in are the corners where thatraised cordy thingie is... . If you see no signs and thanks to Dan ya'll saw what they look like, then spray the dresser drawers with Off and the legs of the luggage rack !! This should deter any that are lurkin from hitch hiking home with you!!!So to all you Disney Listers .. add OFF!!!

I'm glad you're recovering from the bed bug drama Rosie. I always check the mattresses when I go to a hotel. Never thought about bringing Off though, but that's a good idea.

Yes Glen OFF is a great idea !!After all it is supposed to REPEL bugs so it makes total sense !!!

A Bobble Bottle is an individual water filter bottle !!Yuki bought one in January when we had our meet!! Ever since then I planned on getting Judy one for Easter , the filter is equivalent to 300 bottles of bottled water , but you use tap water !!Judy had a blank look when she first saw it then she read the packaage and got a huge smile and said "Thus is REALLY neat"

I just bought 3 of these for myself, DH and DS on our next trip to WDW!

Hi Blue !!Yes I am definately a Bed Bug watcher now The Off is such a sensible idea and makes perfect sense !!Judy was only happy if I came home stinking of OFF!!The bed bug man gave us each Insect traps /monitors so we would stop "BUGGING" out So far we are all clear!!!

The Bobble bottles seem like a great idea for Disney I don't know if Judy has used hers yet
This week I plan to pay off a big chunk of the trip and book the limo !!Blue the girls are gonna be over the moon You did know we are still telling them we have an appointment for them at BBB , they are horrified and adamant that they are NOT doing it !! Gotta have some fun right

I am OFF tomorrow as in not working !!!!I plan on lunch at Applebees and just chilling and or shopping !! Told the staff only call for Emergencies !!!Tonight I have to take the girls shopping they have some exchnages and need to get Dickie pants for their job !!!You know how they are gonna LOVE those Dickie;sThey go for Orientation next week !!and I think they will start that weekend !! The Park is only open weekends until the end of June so they will most likely be working every weekend till then!!They've been told they have to save half their salaries for Disney !!Kyle just got his first payment for his regular grass cutting job and that is already in the bank

Actually Liesa, when we first joined DVC we used some of our bonus developer's points we got in the transaction and stayed two nights at SSR. I know it is not some people's cup of tea, but we really liked being there. Now maybe that was because it was our first experience, but I don't really think so. We weren't really there long enough to get a complete feel for the plusses of staying at SSR.

When we stayed at OKW a few summers ago we discovered the water launch that travels to DTD and it also stopped at SSR, which we didn't even know about until then. Staying at SSR, we will probably spend more time at DTD as a break from the parks during this trip, which we don't usually do. I just might take the golf clubs along and play some golf too since it is right there available.

I know some see the expanse of the facility as a negative, but we really enjoyed being able to get in some walks in the evening, which we also liked about OKW. The biggest drawback is a few more points, which actually meant we had to borrow a few from next year instead of having some to bank.

We already planned to go down on Friday (6/24) and stay a couple of nights off-property before moving into SSR, but I am rethinking that. With the discounts Disney is offering, I am thinking about possibly staying at a Value or Mod resort (or possibly one of the DTD hotels) the first four nights, and then moving to SSR on Tuesday instead of Sunday, which would mean some point savings we could still bank for next year's trip. I am looking at Tuesday because it would be a good time for a mid-trip break, plus it doesn't look like a really great "park" day anyway.

Thanks Rosie. Should be interesting exploring and seeing what I can get pictures of. I'm sure there are some HMs around the place somewhere!!!
