SWEET SIXTEEN :Have they been kissed? PTR: Updated 8/15

Okay now for the DRAMA! First I have to back up to yesterday when Kyle was over at a kid;s house who is constantly over here , I never really liked him , and now I know my instincts were right !! Well the kid was on his porch dropped his phone and blamed Kyle who was no where near him or his phone, he then began hitting Kyle , while another kid taped it !! Kyle called Judy and she went over and the kid said when she asked where Kyle was "HE's Running form me cuz I hit him repeatedly and we taped it "" Judy tried several times to call his parents but they wouldn't answer. The story got to another kid who is a friend of Kyle's who is let;s say a BIG kid . He was very upset about it and today when this same kid ( who hit Kyle) kept walking passed the house , egging the boys on, he kicked our cat and that was the final straw .Kyle's friend the BIG one pounded the you know what outta the agrevator and cat kicker . Judy stopped him and the police 3 cars showed up
You could see the cops were fighting not laughing , because the more the aggrevator talked the more it became obvious he had merely got what he deserved ,the cops just told them all to stay away from each other and left!!
Now we just have to make them all understand that this is not the way to handle conflict , but I admit , when I heard he KICKED my cat I saw RED!!!

I am running lots of ideas thru my head about our first day in August !!Could use some input !!
Our flight from Buffalo leaves at 12:45pm , which will give us time to have a good breakfast , maybe like Tim at MacDonalds !!
We have a stop over in Atlanta, but only about an hour !!I am looking for input on Atlanta airport !!I am assuming that the gates will be close as both flights are AirTran !!Am I right with an hour layover would there be time for a quick meal or not ???
Next , although not yet booked , we will be getting a LIMO from the airport to Country Inn and suites , I want a grocery stop to pick up Pop and snacks for the night and was thinking if we haven't eaten of picking up something , we will have a microwave in the room!!the hotel is in Kissimee and near Maingate area on Calypso Cay!!Anyone have any suggestions of where to ask the Limo driver to stop????

Your gates may or may not be close together. Good news is the website says gates on only on Concourse C or D so you may be lucky.

You may be able to grab something to eat on the plane but I would not count on it. ATL is very busy and lines may be long. Atl to MCO is a short hop so if you eat either in Bullfalo or bring it on the plane you should be good until you land in MCO.

ALT is a huge airport. I'm thinking you aren't going to have much time to stop. I would get to your gate then see what is around there. Maybe you guys could grand some subs and just eat on the plane.

I can also pack some goodies tyo munch on till we get to mco !! Just hoping the Limo will stop somewhere where we can grab some groceries and something to eat for supper .
The hotel has 3 pools and slides so the kids will spend the evening enjoying that . I am pretty sure there is a an excercise room too if Judy wants to do thatNote I did not include me in on that !!I am gonna be sitting by a pool drinking my cofee !!

Thanks to all of you!!So far today is calmKids back in school so hopefully all will blow over!! While in no way did any of the adults condone the punching of the cat kicker !!It was hard not to snicker as the BULLY got his just desserts !!I understand kids , especially boys get into scraps and the best rule is for the parents to stay out of it with each other as usually the adults never speak again and the kids are friends 2 days later But Animal cruelty is another matter !!

I called Disney on my mysterious FOOTBALL gathering for Judy !!They said nothing was on the reservation to support that so I guess she isn't going to be put out in LEFT field pardon the pun !!!The CM I talked to told me this , now I think she is WRONG!!!
Adjoining and connecting are the same thing !! Adjoining means a connecting door between rooms Our ressie is linked and she even gave me a # that supports the linking , but I have never heard that adjoining and connecting are one in the same ??????

I just went through the Atlanta airport twice last week. It's big. For my connections, which were on the same airline, I had to go to different terminals....so I wouldn't count on your gates being close. They might be, but the same airline definitely doesn't guarantee that they will be.

They have a train that runs between the different terminals. When you arrive, just follow the signs to your new terminal (assuming you have to change terminals) and they will lead you down a big escalator (kind of like when we went into D.C., although not quite as big) to the train. The doors of the train close fast, and people won't move over for you so you have to be aggressive. (I got separated from the lady I was traveling with. She squeezed on and I went to the next door down, but it closed before I could get there.) When you get to your terminal, you take a big escalator back up to where the airport gates are.

You should be fine with an hour layover, but you'll need to move right to your new gate. You would probably have time to grab a to-go sandwich or something, but not enough time for a sit-down meal.

I have made the Atlanta dash from concourse B to E with a 45 min connection. Kids were 13 and 16. We ran the whole way, weaving in and out of people. The only rest we got was on the train. We were on our way to a wedding in Dallas. Of course on the way home when we had a longer connection and it would have been Ok if we missed it we got off the plane and walked 2 gates over.

You just never know.


As for Kyle- sorry all that happened but in agreeing with Glenn I am glad karma came around and got him.

We have always been lucky with airtran and Atlanta. Our connecting flights have always been only one or two gates away. With only an hour I don't know that I would try to get something to eat, we usually start boarding 15 minutes or so before the actual flight time.

As for adjoining and connecting rooms, I always thought connecting rooms opened up in to each other, but that adjoining was just next to each other ( or near each other) but that you didn't have the shared door.

Thanks for your support for my kitty !!Poor Shadow was competely innocent !!He is 13 myears old and has always been basically an outside cat dispite all our efforts !! He's very friendly and the kick really scared him he ran up on the porch and Samantha said he was shaking,
poor thing!!

I sure hope the Terminal is close !! I can just hear Judy if she has to fly thu a HUGE airport and to another teminal !!!

Now I thought the other day as in BUG DAY was BADToday was far worse

My overnight staff callled and she had caught and killed a BED BUG in ther Livingroom !!!So odf course that required immediate notification of the powers that be and it began !!
Maintenance came over annnnnd said they were there to remove the infected chair Does this ring a BELLLike **** you are !!I told them I was calling my boss , very sarcastically he said and call the Director too !! They both said NOOOOOO !!! Only to call back 3 minutes later and say YES!!!Ya getting the pattertn .. No One knows what they are doing !!

Well a different Bug company came and he is treating the whole house tomorrow morning and we have to evacuate at 8 am !!Let's just say I have had a BRUTAL Day !!!

Please offer up some prayers for a brighter tomorrow !!!!

A Bobble Bottle is an individual water filter bottle !!Yuki bought one in January when we had our meet!! Ever since then I planned on getting Judy one for Easter , the filter is equivalent to 300 bottles of bottled water , but you use tap water !!Judy had a blank look when she first saw it then she read the packaage and got a huge smile and said "Thus is REALLY neat"

Have to admit I hadn't heard of these either. Will have to start looking for one to use at work!

And sorry about the situation Kyle had to deal with! I agree with some others about the "resolution" to the situation! Sounds like somebody got the butt whoopin' they deserved! (not that I would condone physical violence or anything.......wooden spoons notwithstanding!)
