SWEET SIXTEEN :Have they been kissed? PTR: Updated 8/15

Hi Rosie!! Hope your Saturday is going well. Don't work too hard!

That comment was meant for Kathy, telling Rosie to foot me the bill on MY birthday........ :sad2:
Tim, this is the part of your quote I was acting confused over, and yes that was my way of insinuating that I questioned Rosie's sweetness  and INNOCENCE???? :rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2: Sorry Rosie, I know you're sweet, but I wouldn't exactly call a lap and pole dancing escort INNOCENT. :rotfl2:

Sweet. Yes.

The other...

Oh honey....:lmao:

I guess I better drop the INNOCENT!!!!:lmao::lmao:

Ummm, the lady who pole dances and poses in a shower cap wants to know why she is the brunt of jokes? :rolleyes1 I'm sure you ARE in fact, Innocent, Rosie - I don't know how people could get the wrong idea:rolleyes1

I think DQ will be in the plans today and then eat at WPE so we will be right there!!!

Yummy Meatloaf!!!!

Day 6 Wedneday August 24th

AK Day

Image801.jpg

I am still up in the air about ressies the choices are WCC or O'Hana;s Judy has repeatedly mentioned WCC, the catsup place so I am leaning towards that, Steph went in 2009 and apparently liked it , For Judy to request a place where they are gonna pick on you is rare soooo who am I to deny her :rotfl2:

Day 7 August 25th

Another restish day The second waterpark day and DQ Lunch either at the WP or DQ and maybe supper at O Hanas or Raglan Road

Day 8 Friday August 26th and our last full day

No doubt this will be DHS and supper at CM

Well what ya think of my very sketchy 4 days !! Thank goodness I have 2 weeks to fine tune :rotfl2:

In my opinion Typhoon Lagoon is the better of the two parks. The wave pool is so much fun and the slides are great also. Not sure about towel rentals but I think the lockers are around $10 or so.

Thanks Lessa !!!This will be our first ever time at DQ or WPs !!!!

I've only been to Typhoon Lagoon, so can't really make a recommendation between the two. I'd heard that Blizzard Beach is slightly more adventurous, which is why we went to TL....I didn't think my younger kids were ready for "more adventurous".

As for Ohana vs. WCC, right now I'd say Ohana, but if you ask me in ten minutes I might have change my mind.

I am joining the TL recommendations! I did like BB, but had way more fun at TL! Crush'n'Gusher is awesome!

You can rent towels, I think they were 2 dollars or so, NOT expensive and the locker is 10$ I guess! You get some of the money back when you return the key!

Love your sketchy days - you are WAY ahead of me ........ I know the park and where to eat and that's it! :rotfl2:

TL or BB is a difficult question!

I think I liked BB better, there seemed to be more different type of slides available. I really liked the one where a number of people race each other next to each other.

Also, while TL has a very nice and luch tropical feel, I just thought that the BB theme was much funnier.

And I did not enjoy the huge waves in the TL wave pool, they just knocked me around, liked the BB pool much better.

However, Crush'n Gusher is indeed quite spectacular!

Still, for me the park I could hang out for longer is BB! :goodvibes

Thanks for all your input !!!The girls are the adventurous ones and will love all the slides !!All Iand Judy will most likely do is Wave Pools and Lazy rivers !!We have both at alocal amusement park and the kids enjoy steering me into all the "wet" spots:rotfl2:As for towel rental I'm torn between bringing towels from home using the resort ones or renting them !!How crowded is the WPs likely to be if we arrive around 10:30 am , will be find a spot to sit ????

TL or BB is a hard decision.

BB is the more adventurous of the 2, I will agree on that. I also think BB may have cooler water because there was talk that becuase it is supposed to be a SKI resort that melted, the water is chilled a bit more to support that theming.

I guess it depends on how you like to enjoy a waterpark. If you want to stay in a body of water splashing around and do not like gettin knocked around, go to BB since the "pool" area is a little calmer and you can just float there.

Both have Lazy Rivers that go around the property however BB has most attractions inside the lazy river and TL has most attraction outside the lazy river. So at TL if you are not going to use the lazy river is may be further to walk around.

TL has a sandy beach. If you are not fond of sand everywhere and taking it back to the resort there are fewer places to sit without sand. At BB more concrete, no sand.

If you want to snorkle then you need to go to TL but the water is really cold.

All ears has both maps, but I had to do a search for TL. At BB it is easier to stay together I think.

Both are great parks but I think BB is slightly more functional in design and easier to navigate.

I have to speak up for BB here. Our first trip to WDW we did BB twice, because the boys asked for that instead of a Sea World day. They were 11 and 13 at the time. The slides are awesome, We love Teamboat Springs, which we were able to put our whole party of 7 in and we did it over and over with a different ride each time, depending on how our weight was distributed. We laughed until our stomachs hurt. We did have some sand near the kiddie pool area where we had our chairs. Our little cousin was 3 at the time, so she spent some time over there - hard to believe she is graduating from high school this Spring.princess: Anyway at TL the "family ride" is only for 3 people. When we were there with my DSIS and kids we had to split up our group. Not nearly as fun.

I think if you love a wave pool TL is the choice because it is only there. I don't like being knocked around and skinning my knees and suit on the rough bottom. Both have a lazy river, but over all, I think TL is a yawn, both in the theme and the slides. Oh, and where else do you ride a ski lift in your swim suit!:rotfl2:

I know we rented towels and got refillable mugs at BB, so I'm sure you can rent towels at TL, too. We haven't gotten lockers, just got one of those waterproof boxes on a lanyard to put our cards and cash in, and hid our camera in our bag - no problems. I guess maybe it's getting to be more of a problem, so we should get a locker next time?

That meatloaf does look delicious!!As for ADRs on the next day, both Ohana and WCC are good, but I bet the kids would have the most fun at WCC!!!
