Could anyone share a sweet potato recipe, NOT candied, or with marshmallows. Just a different, maybe spicy sweet potato side dish?

TIA!!

:)

Google Sweet Potato Au Gratin or Scalloped Sweet Potatoes. We have made both for Thanksgiving and they are fantastic.

We once did Emerils Au Gratin layered with BBQ pulled pork...it was scrumptious

Our crew does not like the sugary sweet versions either. Our family prefers our sweet potatoes savory.

We also do just plain ol mashed with roasted garlic, butter, salt and pepper.

Yum.

Curried sweet potatoes. Just chunk up some sweet potatoes, toss with melted butter, sweet curry powder, and salt, then roast at 400 until tender. These are delicious!

Similar idea here. Remove peel, cut into cubes, toss in plastic bag with olive oil and any seasonings or salts you prefer, cook at 400º until soft.

Baked sweet potato fries

I just peel and cut them. drizzle with olive oil to coat them all and then sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder (or you could use garlic salt and omit the table salt) to taste. we like them spicy so the more pepper and garlic the better.

I put them in the oven and bake at 375 for about 30 minutes, or until soft. They don't get super crispy, but you can bake them on parchment paper to help, and never crowd them on the baking sheet.

I cut mine into cubes, steam them, toss them in a frying pan with butter and chopped sage. Then add grated parm. cheese. Then bake in the over for about 1/2 hour. I get alot of requests to make this.

I want to try the recipe with the curry. I have curried chicken all the time but can't picture it with sweet potatoes.

I cube them, coat them with a little olive oil, salt & pepper, throw them in a foil packet, and bake until tender. Top with a little butter. Mmmm.

I"m going to be trying Sandra Lee's sweet potato souffles on Thanksgiving. There is FLUFF on top though!

Yum! Thanks for all the suggestions. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to try them, and then decide which to bring with me for Thanksgiving!
