I'm so excited, I just can't wait. My youngest daughter (the one who came out on NYE) turns 16 next March. We try to do trips for birthdays, mostly because I'm not fond of other peoples kids, but I digress. We did a big WDW trip this year in February because I was in Afghanistan last year, so it was a 10 day trip for all of our birthdays. On the flight home I asked her where she wants to go for her sweet 16, she said back to WDW. Yay for me! So we've begun to plan. Her sister will stay with their dad and it will just be me, kid #2 and her best friend. (kid #1 gets a trip to NYC for her 17th birthday because I missed her sweet 16, leaving kid #2 at home for that one. We're going to see Wicked and Avenue Q!).
Kid #2 is not at all a girly girl and never has been. We're a family of tomboys, pretty much, not that we're unfashionable, just not frilly. But for some serious irony, we're going to stay at POR in a royal room, have a princess makeover for her, she's going to wear a ridiculous princess dress (she wants Rapunzel, I'm leaning toward Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty) and we're all going to dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table.
We're all totally excited and I can't wait until I can actually book stuff. She's stoked because while she isn't into the girly stuff for the most part, but it will be awesome to get all dressed up this once. This year is going to be so incredibly slow, I've wanted to hop back on a plane to Florida since we landed in Sacramento.
I just had to share. I can't stop being excited and I think I'm driving kid #1 crazy with WDW and NYC.
