A little over a week ago my daughter decides that instead of the big sweet 16 party we had been planning (for months) that she would rather go to Disney instead. So a week before invitations go out we scrap the party and start looking into Disney packages. After much research and pouring over this site I called Disney this morning and booked our very first trip for me, my daughter and my son!

We decided on April 18-24 and the POR resort Royal Room, the basic dining plan and a 6 day base ticket. With airfare from Buffalo the package came to $4339. Well, let me tell you, I am soooo glad I called to book the trip rather than book online! Let me explain ....

While I was speaking to the agent we were going over the options and there were no royal rooms available for that time, I said it wasnt that big of a deal since my daughter knew nothing about it and my son could care less. So she asked if we were absolutely set on POR and I told her no. She then says "Well, let me see something, I have your name in the system here...there it is! If we put you in the CBR we can get you free dining, you only pay for the upgrade and we save you almost $700!" I just about fell over! I had been reading this board and didnt think there was any chance of free dining but apparently there was a PIN number associated with my name and I never knew it! What a great surprise!

So confirmation numbers in hand I made all our ADR's and got everything we wanted. Will post my tentative intinerary tomorrow :)

Staying up til the wee hours of the morning obsessively planning is going to be the end of me! I tend to be a little OCD when it comes to vacation planning (I already have an excel book made with a day to day timeline lol ). So here is a quick outline of the things I have planned so far.

Day 1 - Arrival
  • Up and ready to go by 6:30am to be at airport by 7:30
  • Depart Buffalo at 9am
  • Flight in at 11:30am
  • At CBR by 1pm (I hope)
  • Get to room, hope DS is surprised/pleased by the Discover Disney Magic package waiting for him.
  • Drop bags, freshen up head to Magic Kingdom
  • Find something to eat!

  • -Not sure yet what kiddos want to do here....

  • 7pm find a QS dinner somewhere
  • 8:30pm get to Tomorrowland Terrace for dessert party and fireworks!
  • finally get back to room and sleep

Day 2 - Epcot
  • up at 6 get ready, have breakfast
  • 8ish hopefully on our way to Epcot

  • -- Stuff the kids want to do...

  • 1pm find a QS lunch

  • -- More stuff the kids want to do...

  • 6:30pm get to Garden Grill for dinner with Chip n' Dale
  • 8:30pm hopefully be able to see Illuminations
  • Back to resort, hope DD is in shock and awe at the Presenting Your Royal Princess arrangement!! I seriously can't wait for this, she has NO idea at all. Doesn't even know it exists. She was disappointed when we found that she was too old for the Bippity Boppity Boutique and to her she said this is last chance to be a princess and get away with it lol.

More to come as I do some more looking. Any suggestions as to what attractions (other than the rides) would appeal to a 14 and 16 year old are greatly appreciated and needed. Also some QS suggestions would be great too!

Thanks for reading!:woohoo:
