Swan wedding perks?

hi again...
would like to get some info on Swan wedding that's done through justmarry.com

compare them to Disney's wedding, what do you get and NOT get with justmary?

mickey certification?
those neat just married pins from Disney I heard about?

is there any futher detailed comparision between the two?

We didn't get any pins or stuff like that.
They did the following however as no charge..they were a suprise..
They knew I wanted chair covers..but not in my budget. They were there for the reception..and in my colors! A nice surprise..
I ordered a one layer wedding cake..they gave me a extra tier at no charge..it was beautiful!
They gave us two getting ready rooms for the entire day..but I would suppose disney does that too.
I brought lots of my own decor..and they put it all out for me as specified in my ohh so detailed instructions..no questions asked..no charge

But with what I saved on our wedding...I was able to buy my own Bride and Groom mickey pins *wink*

Hey!

Disney does not provide you getting ready rooms! And, remember, you've got to pay two nights on them because check-out is at 11:00am. So, you're in for it the night before the wedding and the day of the wedding (unless you're having a super early wedding)!

As for the pins, I we picked them up when we got our complementary annual passes (probably not something justmarry.com will be able to supply ). But, I am sure you can get the pins at Guest Relations. They supply them for Disneymooners, too. And who says you can't get the Mickey tophat and Minnie veil if you want!?!

really just trying to figure out the pros and cons between Disney Intimate and Justmarry.com's Swan/Dolphin wedding.

Disney's got that special magical touch but their limitations bothers us.

justmarry pretty much does whatever you want for similar prices. crescent terrace looks beautiful too. might be less magical but i'm sure it'll be equally special.

We were marrid legally in August 2004. It was $1,000 at the end of the day for the dress, veil, brunch for about 15 people that joined us, and the court fees. But you know what? We were married. And that's what really counts.

You will have the most magical day any way you do it. There's no question in my mind!

My sister got married at the gazebo outside of the Swan/Dolphin (I can't remember which one).. It was very beautiful and I don't think any magic was lost!! It was a lovely wedding that many of us still talk about today!

I was also looking at the Swan/Dolphin for my wedding. It does feel that Disney limits intimate weddings to a great extent. I think one of the big deciding factors for me to go with Disney was the Magic Kingdom photo session. If I am not mistaken, you can only have photos in your wedding attire if you are a WDW Fairy Tale Wedding couple. Other than that, my fiance really wants an indoor wedding at the WP. I am not so picky and thought the outdoor location at the Swan was beautiful. The Swan is definitely a good option if you want a more traditional reception without the Disney custom wedding price tag. One other thing to consider, however, is that the back-up location for the Swan is a ballroom. That was kind of a deal breaker for me...but if you don't mind, it was actually quite a nice space from pics I saw online. Sorry, I just don't remember the website. Good luck with your choice. In my opinion, any wedding venue you choose will be magical...

This is the total price list, number of guests=16,had wedding,cocktail hour,full sit down dinner cake and dancing.

wow your grand total included all that especially Randy's photo sessions ? did justmarry arranged all of the cocktail hour and dinner cake? that sounded far cheaper than $2200 base on their current price list....

oh and how long does swan wedding last?

Disney intimate is still our #1 choice, but if their availble dates doesn't work out with us then Swan would be a great alternative.

I took what I didn't need from their basic package and removed it and added what I needed.They were so flexible this way. I had Randy for 2 hrs which worked out perfect for us.
The ceremony was not really long. Our ceremony was at dinner time 5 pm and we wrapped up just after 9pm
The swan took care of my food/alcohol!

WOW now I'm more impressed with the swan. It'll be great if they still allow flexible substitution with the base package. I though Randy would cost some big bucks for the event..but knowing that now...it seems affordable. just hope he's can be booked still on short notice lol.

groomtb..I just posted in the other thread as I think I screwed up my numbers..food and alcohol WERE seperate..I was looking at the excell spread sheet I had at work here and it was just under 1000.00 for food/alchol...on top of the wedding stuff...so sorry for the mix up!
