Do the standard rooms have balconies? Also, do any of the standard rooms have king beds?

Standard rooms usually don't have balconies, they're an upgrade. Some standard rooms will have king beds though.

If you join the Starwood Preferred Guest Program though, you could use it to check on upgrades when you get in, and they're located at: www.starwood.com

The best thing about it is the program is free!!

I'd do it ASAP though, that way you'll get your card in time for your trip, and they have a special counter for Starwood check-ins.
