Anything we should say at check-in? Hint at an upgrade? Show our Starwood card? Slip the gal (or guy) a $20? ;)

Are there any rooms/floors that are preferable? (Including mold-free?)

Thanks

Shel

Your Starwood card would probably get you the best results. I'm not sure how tipping works at the front desk, if they are even allowed to accept it. Maybe someone could give you a little more info. :)

We checked into the Swan this New Year's Day having reserved a standard room at the Teacher's Rate using my Starwood card. I casually asked, "You don't happen to have a room with a balcony at this rate, do you?" They did. I don't know if we would've gotten it without my asking but I'm glad I did.
