We were there last summer and walked in to one of the resorts from the Boardwalk but I don't remember if it was the Swan or Dolphin. We're staying at Dolphin this July. THanks for replies!

Technically, the Swan is closer, though it's really splitting hairs. These two resorts are pretty dang close to each other.

Add about one minute from the dolphin-if you walk slow...

like sugar plums and fairies in my mind..........

The Swan is the tiniest bit closer....but if you are wondering which hotel you wandered into - that's an easy one to answer.....
If the hotel you walked into had a tiny lobby that was the Swan....if you walked into a place where there are escalators going up - that is the back entrance of the Dolphin. The front lobby of the Dolphin is HUGE. The Dolphin is worth the few extra steps. Don't know what kind of room you are getting at the Dolphin - but we were there in March 2003 - and had room 8029 - great view of the boardwalk area, the epcot ball straight ahead, perfect view of Illuminations - pure disney magic.....that was a balcony room - but every other room on that side are non balcony rooms too - personally I am more than happy to pay a bit extra for the balconies and won't do without on future visits. The little bit of privacy after the kiddies go to sleep is priceless. Not pressing your face against the glass when the fireworks are going off is priceless. The Florida breeze blowing in the open door - and sunshine - priceless as well. Dolphin rooms aren't small - but the sliding glass door and balcony just opened it up. Sitting out there with your morning coffee......priceless. Love Dolphin! Take the boat to the parks too. It's so convenient and there really is no waiting - you COULD walk if you wanted to - but after a day at the park WHY? The water lapping against the boat - especially after dark was cuddle time for my dh and I.....ENJOY YOUR TRIP!!!!

Ashley's Mom--Thanks for the wonderful write-up of the Dolphin. We are staying there in 8 days, and I'm very excited about the things I've been reading. I've requested a balcony, precisely for the reason you stated. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old, who take long naps and turn in early.

About the boats, can you push a stroller onto them, or do you have to fold it up.

Yes, you can push a stroller right onto the launches. However, I have seen people fold them up once on board b/c the stroller can block the aisle.
