Like many of you, I've been anxiously awaiting any sort of discount for my dates in mid-October (13-16th). I want deluxe accommodations for around $200/night (or less
). And I want to stay at an Epcot or Magic Kingdom resort.
I've been watching for Disney codes, but also had my eyes on the Swan Resort. The Swan/Dolphin has had a $199/night "internet only" and "limited time only" rate out for a week or so now, but requires full pre-payment and an unreasonable no change/no cancellation policy. Sorry, I cant commit to that-- my life is too unpredictable to commit to losing my entire stay should a family emergency or something else prevent me from taking my vacation.
Just wanted to share with everyone that this morning I called the Swan and I was able to get their "best available rate" which only requires 1-night deposit and 3 days cancellation notice without penalty for $179/night for Thursday Oct 13 and $199/night for Fri-Sat Oct 14-15.
NOTE: the SPG.com website and Swandolphin.com only showed the $199 rate but when I called they had a $179 available for Thursday night, so bottom line its always best to call and check.
Who knows, maybe the rate will drop even lower? At least Ive got Deluxe accommodations for a reasonable rate with a reasonable cancellation/change policy. Im pleased.
