Swan/Dolphin Teacher/Governmant/nurse Rate For April,2003

Has anyone been able to get the Teachers/Government/Nurse Rate of $129.00 for April 18-21, 2003? That is the Easter Weekend.

I'm sure it's possible to get the govt. rate there during those dates, if there's availability. I would think that they are all but gone by now, but it sure doesn't hurt to keep calling and checking.
A co-worker of mine called for a week in November of 2003 for a govt. rate room, and was told that there were no rooms available for that rate.

One of my friends is a teacher and didn't know she could get a discounted rate at the Swan/Doplhin. Is there a code to use or do you just call up and say you are a teacher? I think she booked through WDW direct so would she need to change that? Also, it is peak season is the rate good for then?

I stayed at the Dolphin this past July. When I called the hotel and asked for a room at the teacher's rate, they said that not only wasn't the discount rate available for our dates, but there were NO ROOMS AT ALL available. I went to www.dreamsunlimited.com (sponser of this board) and not only got a room, but got the teacher's rate for two of the five nights. Discounted rooms become available at different times. You have to keep trying. Dreams Unlimited will do this for you!

To get the Teacher/Govt. rate, I've just called the Swan/Dolphin direct at 800-337-1500.

Also, another co-worker called this past September requesting the govt. rate for two rooms for a trip in May of next year. Initially, he was told that only one room was available for only 5 out of the 7 days of his trip. I told him to call back the next day, which he did. He was then able to get the two rooms for his entire stay. The person booking said something like that she had to 'doctor things up' a bit, but was then able to get the rooms for him.
I suppose it's one of those things of finding the right person that's willing to go the extra mile for you.
Go figure...

I have been able to get this rate for the past three years without any difficulty. This year I booked thru dreamsunlimited. Dolphin via telephome had 5 of my 8 nights and online was zero Figured its easier to just grab all 8 nights in one shot and now its done. My fist year I got easter week 3 weeks out, i stumbled upon these boards and switched from ***.

We always get the teacher's rate, but not without some persistence at times. Keep trying, it took me 2 months, last year to get all the nights but we did. The rooms unused go back into a "pool" on Fridays, so that is the afternoon to call. Do not give up! Caroline

I have the teacher's rate of $129 for April 18-27th. I booked it back in July.
