day 2 of puppydom here...she's taken a fancy to my slippers. when they're on my feet. she doesn't like them unless they're on my feet. so i took them off this morning, and she proceeded to bite my foot. i have a lovely little gash on the ball of my foot. who's idea was this anyway? she's done good this morning though, since i've been up. i guess she had an accident this morning before i got up...but she's gone outside each time since i've been up! and if we didn't put her in her crate, i don't think that she'd stop playing long enough to sleep...

she's so stinking cute...i need my camera...let me go find it...

we're off to our murder mystery party! this was the one that was supposed to have been on new year's eve, but we had to postpone due to illness of some of the participants. so we're having it this afternoon!

Why thank you Debbie...mom enjoyed the movie...I did too...for the second time!! Dad decided not to come so it was just us girls...good to get my mom out for an afternoon!

I don't know if Debbie meant kids or puppies getting worse as they get older...I guess it holds true for both

however that is true about kids too
although I have to say that I'm rather proud of my kids now...especially Mike.....
He had read an article about the Patriots and the coach speaking about why they are a champion team....Mike cut this article out and highlighted what he thought were the important facts that he wanted to get across to his basketball team .... he brought it to practice and when he gave it to the coach...the coach gave him the floor....so Mike then explained to the team how these things needed to be applied to their team and gave examples of how it has worked for various other Bball teams in their league....the coach then spoke of how long he has been coaching Mike and had nothing but praise for him.
Now this MAY SEEM LIKE NO BIG DEAL to anyone who doesn't know Mike.....this may be pretty standard for most kids.... BUT you have to know how quiet and shy Mike has always been to appreciate it. He IS a captain on the team and he truely has shown his leadership here.
Sorry for rambling but thats what i was feeling when I came here.

good news! i didn't do it!! the murder mystery party was fun! my character didn't commit the murder, although she did commit a few crimes along the way...lol. the party was fun, but it takes a bit to loosen up and get into it. at least it took me a bit to loosen up...i think we're going to host one at our new house one of these days...

jasmine was a good girl while we were gone. she stayed in her crate and we came home to a tiny mess on the towel in her crate. no big deal...fed her and played with her for a bit...couldn't get her to go outside to do her business though. she decided that the living room was the best place for that. put her in her crate for the night and woke up to her howling at about 4:30am. no mess in her crate though. took her outside, put her back in her crate, and went back to sleep for an hour! that thing has more energy...but if you play hard with her, she gets worn out pretty easily. the weather is supposed to be fairly decent today so i think we'll attempt the walk today. wear her out even more! once she's had all of her shots and stuff, we're going to look into doggy day care for her. don't roll your eyes! my sister used it for her dog and it's awesome. the poor things play hard all day long...come home and sleep for 2 days! great for socialization training too! but it'll be a few weeks until she can go to daycare. she needs her shots...

my co-workers drive me insane. they sit up here and then proceed to act like idiots for about 30 minutes each morning.one gal...she knows ZERO about comuters. she needs help with typing...no big deal...but this morning as they are sitting here, the topic turns to printers. all of a sudden, she is this printer expert. recommending certain printers...how they work...etc. for someone who knows nothing about computers sure seems to know an awful lot about printers...

ok...i'll quit whining this morning. i could continue...i have a list of complaints! but i think i'll spare you..

Debbie...that is awesome.....you must be so proud! Just goes to show that you don't have to be a "bigmouth"....or even particularly outgoing... to be an effective leader. And nice that his coach recognizes and appreciates those fine qualities in Mike.
I'd tell you to give him a hug of congrats from me...but then you'd have to confess that you wrote about it on the DIS So...a ((hug)) to you. That young man sure is a catch!

sun is there.....I can see it trying to come up over the horizon.......I love to sit in my sunbeam in the morning......today is 11 days since I sent in for my HOT RICE CRACKERS....I just counted on my fingers.....they should be coming soon I would think......I will sit in this house and wait PATIENTLY until they come.......or until I go to Disney......whichever comes first......79 days I think or someplace close to that number .....I need to go over my summer clothes ....already tried on my bathing suits.....all the weight I gained keeping warm (hehehe) can fit in the bathing suits just right.......one is a size smaller .....so I can cover all options.......

it's pretty pathetic...i had to sit with jasmine this morning on the floor and hand feed the little thing...she's more interested in playing than eating in the morning! so i sat with her on my lap in the middle of the kitchen floor and hand fed the spoiled rotten little thing!

i am so tired of my co-workers giving me such a hard time in the mornings. they think it's hysterical that i'm not a morning person. so they're up here every day...chatting away and seeing if i pay attention to the things they say...it's getting rather annoying...

more american idol tonight!! we're down to the final 32 so now we get to start voting!

christine...dad's doing just fine now! to the best of my knowledge, he's given up smoking and he's had to adjust his diet and eating habits. it's driving him crazy but he knows it's all for the best.

stayed up late last night to watch the Beanpot hockey final and my BC EAGLES WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to stay up anyway....I have come down with such a cold I can't breathe lying down and have that annoying tickle in my throat....so I am taking a sick day today....haven't taken one in a year or so, so I'm due.........

I just looked on my checking account on line and my check for the hot rice crackers is now listed......that means they are on their way.......YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..........I really do hope you feel better....honest......I read on line someplace that if you eat some peppermints it will open your nose and make you sneeze......hmmmm wonder if that is what I really read..........
