Good morning!

Speaking of GS cookies, I ordered a few from a neighbor child, and then someone at work had a form yesterday so I ordered a few more........decided to try the new lemon ones.....DD likes the Tagalongs....had to get some Thin Mints.....sigh..........

Today we are going to the movie theatre at 11 am to get tickets for tonight's sneak preview of "MIRACLE" I can't WAIT to see this movie!!!!! :teeth:

This afternoon DH and I are going furniture shopping (living room)....which, believe it or not, we have NEVER done...together. When we moved in together we sort of combined our stuff that we'd each had...we did buy my sister's beautiful dining set when she sold her house in Florida a while ago, but we didn't "shop" for it. So...this could be interesting :scared1:

Hello Ms. Glo... and All..... :)

So far, has gone great. Took the multi-layering advice, and can't feel a thing... haha! Think about 17 right now, and was down to 10 or so I think last night. Even have the leggings... feel like Joe Nameth or sumpin'... haha!

Saw a GREAT film at The Lyric, called "21 Grams"... one that SSB had missed in Toronto.

Back at Va Tech library as Jennifer working on some school stuff, but back out into the great white world pretty soon. Fly back tomorrow during Super Bowl (will see some of it in Atlanta), and will miss Survivor... but hoping to see tape when I get back, as will surely hear results on Monday morning at the Lemonade stand.

Hope that all are having nice weekends!!!

SSB

Hey, what else do you really need??????

Yep, SSB, layers work great, layer them on, peel them off.

Sounds like a scare there, TC, winter is such a pain. FL is nice, wish I was there now.

Take care everyone, enjoy the Super Bowl or whatever suits your fancy today, have a great week. :wave2:

Barry Manilow Hospitalized
Mon Feb 2, 1:45 AM ET
By Marcus Errico

Barry Manilow remains in a Palm Springs hospital Sunday, a day after being rushed to the facility for chest pains.

Manilow's publicist attributes the pains to stress, releasing a statement that says the 57-year-old "I Write the Songs" singer had just returned from New York, where he is engaged in a nasty legal battle over control of his stage musical, Harmony.

The singer, says publicist Jerry J. Sharell, had "endured two of the most grueling days of arbitration," necessitating his trip to the E.R.

Sharell says Manilow will "remain in the hospital under doctor's orders for various procedures and tests to bring his heart rate to normal."

It's been a rough few months for the "Copacabana" crooner. Back in June, he suffered a broken nose after accidentally walking into a wall at his Palm Springs home.

But a bigger blow was delivered in November, when it was announced that Harmony's pre-Broadway tune-up run in Philadelphia had been scuttled.

"Other than the death of my mother, this is probably the most devastating day of my life. Maybe even more so, because it affects so many other people," Manilow told the New York Post at the time.

The abrupt closing put the show's future in doubt--Harmony had been slated to hit the Great White Way later this year--and also pitted Manilow and cowriter Bruce Sussman against producer Mark Schwartz in a lawsuit over the rights to Harmony.

The show, about the real-life Comedian Harmonists sextet, a group of singers in pre-World War II Berlin, received mixed reviews upon its initial tryout run in La Jolla, California, in 1997. The show has since been retooled with an eye for Broadway.

A Grammy, Emmy and Tony winner, Manilow achieved his greatest fame in the 1970s for such syrupy hits as "Mandy," "Can't Smile Without You," "Lonely Together" and "Looks Like We Made It."

He recently produced Bette Midler (news)'s Grammy-nominated album Bette Midler Sings the Rosemary Clooney (news) Songbook. His next releases, the double-CD 2 Nights Live! and double-DVD Ultimate Manilow!, will be in stores April 6.

taped survivor last night...have to watch tonight...but can't interfere with American Idol!!!

have a good day!!

I know - I heard about Barry yesterday - fans were a little frightened about it, to say the least. Breaking his nose, we can laugh at - chest pains...not so much.

I was in a pool for the Super Bowl, and was one touchdown away from winning the $800 final score portion. Waaaahhhhh.

Ah well...

Considering heading to WDW in August - anyone else going to be there? Very, VERY tentative at this point...

which part of August Gail??? I do have leftover tickets and i'm thinking about driving down but waiting to see what kids work schedules are.

I have been soooooooo sick all weekend....the pukey kind of sick  couldn't even sit up for long. Too ill feeling to even hoot and holler watching the game. Not working today either....still feeling horrible but at least I'm in an upright position...so improving.

Great game but that halftime show stunk  They should have had Clay Aiken perform...it would have been a much more family friendly show ;)

ITA...even about he-who-is-named-after-mud! ;) LOL

Hope you feel better Debbie. DD was up half the night feeling crummy...blocked ears, and dripping congestion making her cough to the point of vomiting bblleeecchh...not too much fun for ANY of us considering how long it took to come down off the ceiling after that game and fall asleep ;)

Sending healing PD to Barry M!!

August...hhmm?.... hot hot hot!! :earseek:

i don't think we'll be going in august...right now our plans are to go in november...but if by some miracle we are able to get pregnant soon, we'll have to move our trip up. and if that happens, then i think we'll go in May. i want to go this year, no matter what! and if i go while i'm pregnant, i'll have the chance to see the things i wouldn't normally take the time to stop and see while on the mad dash for space mountain, etc...

and no...we aren't pregnant...yet

i love going in may! i love the flower and garden festival at epcot...it's so pretty at that time of year!! if we end up going in may of this year, then i am most definitely going for the holidays in 2005!!!

Brandie Brandie Brandie....practice makes perfect you know ;) :o

And while we're on the subject, I have exciting news....stepdaughter (Madyson's mom) is pregnant! This is AMAZING (but I had a feeling it would happen)...they had been trying since they were married in summer 99, and conceived Madyson only after extensive and expensive (not covered by insurance) treatment/procedures.....so expensive that they were resigned to Mady being an only child, and hopefully getting her "paid off" before she goes to college ;)
Well, Mady's going to have a little sibling right around the time she turns two....very unexpectedly but very welcome!! :teeth:
Grandbaby number 5 is on the way

congrats grannie annie!!!!

we're working on the whole pregnancy thing. lord knows we've had enough practice... ;)

i have such courteous co-workers. i'm sitting here this morning, enjoying my sausage, egg, and cheese croisannwich...as they begin discussing slaughter houses and dead animals. nice, huh?

Congrats, Grannie Annie!!! :teeth: When is # 5 scheduled to arrive?

Brandie...ewwwwwww...I would have calmly told those people that if they didn't want me contributing to the conversation by puking all over their LEATHER SHOES...to move the discussion somewhere else. :p ::yes::

And practice practice practice!!! :smooth:

Deb - probably the first week of August...the boys have APs that expire mid-August, so if we go, it'll be before they expire. Again, VERY VERY tentative.

Is anyone else going a little  over the whole BoobGate thing?
