Hello,

Just here for a drive by posting. On my way to a meeting.

Busy week last week as I was getting over the sinus thingie and then we are contemplating building a new home...   and it is not on Fleming Island....another...

It is in a "New Town"....They are calling it Northeast Florida's new home town..."Oakleaf Plantation"....well trying to decide....but we don't know if we will move in about 5 years when I go to seminary, but this area is taking off and the housing is supposed to sky rocket so a good investment. And George has found his dream home and thinks it rivals the one he loved in Celebration, so he wants to give them the money NOW!!!! It is a great home...now I will stop talking about this...as I think I sound like another Cheerleader all of the sudden....hahahahaahah j/k

And also this week I meet with the Supertendent of Methodist Church in Northeast Florida to discuss my candidacy to ministry. Please any prayers you have....could you send them my way???

Oh well, just wanted to pop in and say hi...

Glad your teams won....You know we live in town of the Jaguars....and well the Jaguars are the Jaguars....BLEECH!!! But at least this year they got rid of the HIGHLY OVERPAID Mark Brunell...

Everyone have a nice week.

P & PD for your meeting this week Teri! And good luck with the new-home-contemplation....feel free to talk about it...I surely would if it was me!! :teeth:

Time for me to call it a night...up early tomorrow to take DH for a colonoscopy....just routine I guess when you get to a certain age....but yuck, the preparation routine for tonight is pretty "draining" shall we say?.....and he keeps giving me TMI ;)

It is a great home...now I will stop talking about this...as I think I sound like another Cheerleader all of the sudden....hahahahaahah j/k
hmmmmmm...who could that possibly be??? :scratchin :teeth:

geez...this thread disappeared! i got distracted again...

Oh I just never got here yesterday...oh how many times I tried.
work day kept me busy and a horrible day it was...I won't detail it for you....you'd either laugh at it all or you'd just wouldn't believe me

P & PD to you Teri and good luck with your house decision :D

colonoscopy....yuck!! and the "preparation" is awful!!! Last year DH went for his first and AFTER THE PREPARATION...they tried to tell us he had been cancelled that morning  HE was supposed to be cancelled but someone never called SO WE DEMANDED he be squeased in. You can't go thru that PREP and then be cancelled. Hope all is well for NHJohn ;)

now back to work....hoping for a better day

morning :wave2:

and here i am whining about my girlie appointments! hope all is well with your DH, ann!

sending along some pixie dust for a better day debbie!!

nothing exciting happening here...matthew's got his home office all set up now. he built his desk...it actually looks pretty good! and he's painted the walls and ceiling. it's dark, but it looks nice...

we've, ok actually I'VE, gotten caught up in the whole american idol fury...lol. i just can't believe how BAD some of those people are!! it's quite comical to watch...

have a good day everyone!!!

Good wishes to him... does seem like a difficult procedure... ack!!! Thought SSB due, but still a few more years.

Good to have, as friend of mine's DH did not have cancer discovered there, until lost so much blood that he was anemic... very tough scene.

HUGS for NHJohn!!! Prep is the WORST!!! but good to get the results and know that all is well.

Prayers that all will be just fine.

Well, secretary called from the DS's office and emergency came up and meeting cancelled today. Savannah's response,"God must have thought you needed more time to prepare." :D

Debbie - Hope your day is better today.

I think that everytime I post the thread dies!!!

    ;)

You should pay me to stay away!!!

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Gotta agree that the prep is the worst part. I got some really great meds when I had my test done. I don't know what was in that IV, but it sure made me forget all my cares and worries for a while.

Hope all goes well with the test.

As far as killing the S/D thread??? You have GOT to be kidding.

TC...John says the meds were great and he slept like a baby during his nap yesterday and last night too!
Results were fine...as DH says "everything came out alright" :teeth:
Thank you all for the good thoughts :)

Never fear this thread will never die ;) in spite of disappearances of certain people from time to time. (THAT MEANS YOU TOO POOHLOVR!!!) BTW-- John says he'll get a lime green speedo if you will come back :earseek:

and you will post a picture of NHJohn wearing this speedo right ::yes::
Oh SUE...you have to come back!!!!

yes I had a better day today....nothing great...but it was better :D

Teri...I don't think this thread will die...don't worry about that ;)

I have never had a colonoscopy YET but I did have the same thing on the other end....thru the mouth ...down to the tummy..... whatever I had.....I don't remember anything and was feeling fine when I woke up :D

so Brandie...how large is this desk your DH built and does he keep handcuffs in the drawers :teeth:

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:

Happy Thursday to all. Today is my Friday actually. I'm taking tomorrow off....my sister from Colorado is visiting with my parents this week, my sister from Rye and I are going down for the day...having lunch wiht our parents, then maybe shopping or a movie, a sisters dinner (minus the 4th psycho sister I guess :( ), and taking her to Logan for her evening flight out.

have a good one!

starting to get good results from all these meds I am taking......my BP is down ......ALOT......I am thrilled of course......but the new meds make me sick.......doctor said to keep trying for a few more days to see if I can stomach it.....hahahaha.......it is potassium 20 MEQ and it is potent and makes my belly hurt ......so for almost two weeks I have been awful.......even told my husband that i didn't want to go to a restaurant .......MOI said that ......can you not believe it.........I need this to work.......97 days to disney.......

Oh yuck pumba...isn't it horrible how drugs fix one thing and cause side effects in something else :( Hope your stomache can adjust and settle down!!

I know I shouldn't laugh, but I do...at the TV commercials for antidepressants....."you may experience side effects like headache, fatigue, this, that, the other thing, and sexual side effects".....I always think......"yea right, other than THAT you'll feel so much better" the side effects are enough to cause depression if you weren't depressed enough to begin with!!

Hey, guess what? DH's employer has asked him to consider the possibility of spending 30-60 days in the next few months in FLORIDA mainly out of their Ocala (north of Orlando) office and also Inverness which is between Tampa and Ocala...they have to talk more on Monday but if it pans out...I will be headed that way for at least ONE long weekend, in March...which I of course choose for us to spend at the lemonade stand if at all possible ;)
The company will also take care of him coming back here for some long weekends and prior commitments...like our vacation next month...which is in Tampa area ...go figure...
It sounds as though he'd be laid off for a couple of months if he chooses not take it, and we knew and planned for that possibility when he took this job, but if he's flexible about this it could lead to other things in the winter months when things up here are slow........they have an office in St Croix too ;) :)

Ann...maybe I'm just confused.....as usual.....BUT ....Are you saying that John will be working down in Florida for somewhere between 60 and 90 days??? And if so YOU will be back here at home working????
and you would be OK with that???
I wouldn't like that at all  unless I could go to ;) one long weekend is good but not enough

glad to hear your meds are working Marie....what are your Florida dates anyway???

I had a post half done this morning and i had to log out before I had time to finish and then I never got back here...another toooooo busy day

good night ;)

Well, it would be Feb and March...not more than 60 days total....what they're thinking is he'd go down early Feb, come back for a few days at least once before he came back for us to go on our 1 week vacation on the 19th.....go back early March, I'd go for a long weekend mid-March, then he'd be back for good at the end of March. If I could get more time off work I could spend more time there with him, but there is DD to consider too as well as my work schedule. So it would be hard, but do-able...the possibilities for the future we think might make it worth it in the long run. We'll see........the whole thing could be scrapped next week anyway.

Yes pumba, do tell what are your WDW dates????? Inquiring minds want to know ;)

Hoping everyone is doing well. Make sure we all get the med tests done to hopefully fend off whatever. Stay warm. :wave2:

Dan

Zooey Deschanel in the Sundance Spotlight
Fri Jan 23,12:30 AM ET Add Movies - Reuters to My Yahoo!

PARK CITY, Utah (Hollywood Reporter) - With four films at Sundance in as many years, Zooey Deschanel (news) (who turned 24 on Saturday) is quite the festival veteran.

Slideshow: Sundance Film Festival

But this year, she's facing a challenge that has the seasoned actress shaking in her snow boots: She is scheduled to host Saturday night's festival awards show.

"They asked me, and I was like, 'Host? Yeah, sounds great. How hard can it be?"' says Deschanel, whose Sundance credits include "Manic," "The Good Girl," "All the Real Girls" and this year's "Eulogy."

"And then I watched the tape from last year, and now I'm like, 'I have to be the Billy Crystal (news) of independent film,' and it's scary. But see, for me, I like more volume, so the more time I'm onstage, the more chances there will be that people will forget how many times I mess up. If I stutter in the beginning, by the end, they will have forgotten."

And in case she does need it, she'll have her "Good Girl" co-star Jake Gyllenhaal (news) there to catch her fall. The show airs live Saturday night on the Sundance Channel.
