My DW, DD (3) and I are heading to the Swan in November.

Does anyone have any recommendation between the Club Level and the Studio Suite? Has anyone stayed in both and able to comment on the differences?

Thanks in advance!

(Edited for spelling)

I have not stayed in a studio suite, so I can't compare them for you. Sorry!

The average club level room is on the 11/12th floor and is a standard room. I do know they have other layouts if you care to reserve them and pay the extra cost. If you are trying to decide between the two and can only pick one, I would pick club level before I would pick the studio suite. For room layouts go to www.swandolphin.com and pick meetings, then meeting space. They hid their room layouts! :)

You're going to love your stay!

Debbie

Thanks, #1HockeyMom,

As a follow up question:

Are there any special room requests you would make for a reservation on the Club Level?

Also, are the Club Level rooms big enough that if one person (DD) in the party is napping that the others can chat a bit?

Thanks again!

Club level rooms are standard hotel size or just a tiny bit bigger.

My feeling is that if the upgrade to Club Level is free go for it, otherwise it was NOT worth it. The level only gives you access to a lounge for a few hours in the AM and evening and the food spread is not out of this world.

When I went at the end of June I paid for club level, but requested a lower level balcony resort view room. Sorry I can't help you with room locations on the 11th and 12th floor! If you want space to spread out during nap times, a studio suite might be just the thing. I have seen pictures of them (can't find them now) and they have a table and chair area as a bump out to the normal room. That would give you more space and no one would accidentally bump a bed! :o

We really enjoyed club level when we went as it allowed us to eat breakfast there each morning before we went to the parks. It also allowed the "eating machine" to eat once with one of us, then the other, and sometimes the third time with his sister. My kids are both constant grazers so during the morning hours and evening hours they enjoyed going up there to snack while we attempted to get a quick nap in before round two of the parks, and dinner, would begin. MommaT and Thabo are wonderful up in the lounge. They are both very personable and totally priceless! Both of my children loved them! :)

I know there are others on the Swan/Dolphin thread who have booked different suite configurations. If your question isn't answered here, please feel free to redo it over on the Swan/Dolphin thread!

Whatever your decisions, you're going to have a wonderful vacation!

Debbie

EDITED TO ADD:
I just reread your original post and realized you only have one child. Why not go with a king room with a pull out? I believe either the Swan, Dolphin, or maybe both have this option. That would leave plenty of room in your room for walking around, napping, and TOYS! This would definately save some money you can use towards a great dinner!

I just returned from the Swan and stayed in the Jr. Suite. It is an L shaped room. A table and 4 chairs and a desk are in one area and the King bed, sofa bed and chair are in an attached section with sliders to the balcony. The bathroom area has a vanity and sink outside the bathroom as well as in the bathroom. There are three windows in addition to the sliders. It is an awesome room!

Welcome back, Mouseteacher! The Jr. Suite sounds awesome. I'm so jealous.

If you want a jr suite at the Swan on club level, they are in the west corner and there is only one on each floor. It is not the L shape, like the ones on the lower floors. It is one huge room, with a king bed and a pull out sofa. There is a fairly large closet in the hallway next to a huge bathroom. The room itself also had a table and 4 chairs and a wet bar and storage on the wall across the back of the room. Stayed in it at Christmas(on the 12th floor) and loved it. Now it is renovated and probably much nicer! We also had a roll out, and there was plenty of room. The bathroom was so large that the rollaway would have fit in it!

Thanks to everyone for their help!

The Junior Suite sounds awesome and I am going to inquire about pricing. We can't wait for our trip!
