Swan Club Level Upgrade

I am a preferred SWD member and my wife has just received a complimentary Gold membership. We currently have a reservation for a Resort View at the Swan using points with the 4 nights / 5th night free promotion. Would the Gold membership entitle us to a comp Club Level room upgrade? Or would we have to use points for each night. Also, I thought I read where you could use points for select days for Club Level on your stay, could be handy if we wanted to go out for breakfast some morning.

Having SPG gold will not get you an automatic upgrade to CL, you would use 1000 points per night. I have no idea about pciking and choosing the nights, you would have to ask at the desk about that.
