Swan AP Rates?

I have booked the Swan for 7/25-8/04 and I got an AP rate of $169. I know codes arent out yet for this time frame, but I was wondering if the rate would get better than this or if they participate. When I see others asking for rates from last year, I never see anyone mention the S/D.

Does anyone have an idea of their prices last year for just a standard room?

I'm afraid that's as good as it's going to get. Since S/D are not owned by WDW they put their own rates out and they are usually kind enough to release them way before WDW does. I believe last year I was able to book a standard room at the Dolphin for $147.50 (or somewhere close to that) on the AP rate, and that was during value season. I'm not totally sure because I didn't keep the reservation. Unless you're a teacher, nurse, or work for the government, that's probably the best price you'll be able to get. Although, sometimes Dreams Unlimited, Mousesavers, or All Ears Net will have special rates running for S/D.

I don't know about those exact dates; however, we stayed at the Swan last October and payed right around $150 with our AP's. If you keep calling every couple of weeks, you can usually find really good rates. We did this and got lucky on our price. Ended up with a great reservations guy that got us this rate for a king bed overlooking the lake and Epcot. It was really nice and very much worth it. I would pay double that - I love the Swan/ Dolphin! Very peaceful and picturesque!
