Swan and Magic Band question(s)

We have an upcoming stay at the swan in November. How do I order new magic bands through MDE? I read that I can purchase bands at a discount through my reservation but I cannot seem to find where to do this.
We have older (5 years) bands but would rather buy some updated ones.
Does my reservation at the Swan qualify for this discount or is this for reservations at Disney owned properties only?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and guidance.

Swolphin doesn’t qualify as they are not Disney-owned.

you can check under MDE -> magic bands to see if you can buy any, but I don't think there will be any option for discounted MBs.

possible options: 1) buy the ones on ShopDisney.com and link them to your accounts.
2) buy them on-site store and link them then.

@twincruisers covered the Shop Disney option as well as purchasing onsite. You can also purchase them at the Disney stores at the Swan & Dolphin or and all retail stores in the parks. Your reservation does not qualify for a discount purchase as a stay at a Disney owned resort would.

How exactly do you plan to use a new MB?

You can only use the to access your ticket(s) for part entry, ride photos and photopass. You can't use them for charging back to you Swan room for purchases.

You can also use your MobilePass if you have an iPhone of Android smartphone and also pickup free RF ID ticket cards at any Guest Services location at each park. You should also be able to get the RF ID ticket cards at the Disney stores at the Swan & Dolphin.

For us I suppose these are reasons enough to order MB. I know I could use my iPhone instead. But each of us having a MB helps the kids feel more involved and adds a bit of “magic” I guess.
this is our first stay at the Swan or any other non Disney property for a Disney trip. Some great information and I appreciate the help.

Yeah shopDisney and on-site would be the same price.
