Quick SWA seat configuration ?:
Has anyone been on a BUF-MCO SWA flight that has 3 seats facing each other? I have heard that some SWA planes have an extremely limited amount of seats that are configured like this?
Thank you
Suzy V.
I've never seen this either - do you mean kinda like a train compartment? I wouldn't expect to see this very much as it doesn't seem to be the best use of space, and SWA wants to get the most people per flight I would imagine.
Never seen this on a SW flight or any other plane for that matter. And I work at the airport and have been on every kind of plane you can imagine. 777, 747, 737, 757, A320, A319 etc.
USAir used to have that configuration about 20 years ago on some of their 737's so I know what you are talking about. They had the first three seats facing the back of the plane and a table in the middle. I flew on them one and it was really weird for take off and landing!
I checked www.seatguru.com but they didn't have SW listed. This is a great site for checking seat configurations.
When my family flew in June '05, the SW plane had the seats you are talking about. The first row was turned around facing row 2 on both sides of the aisle.
We pre-boarded but one of the last to do so and missed getting these seats but they sure would have been great.
It was an older model 737 (maybe a -200)
I didn't think any regular planes would still have that configuration!
I work for Air Canada and clean airplanes and the only plane with seats like that they have... well, is not for the public! Its basically an Airbus 320 (same model that Jetblue flies, for example) with 60 business class seats. 16 of them configured like mentionned.
