I fly Southwest in just under 2 weeks, and I'm disabled, wheelchair pre boarder. I'll be interested to hear the current status of changes.

Currently, one plane has been converted. They will do more and there will be a time when you will be able to sit in the preferred seats prior to the reserved seating piece going live. They hope to begin the reserved seats early in 2026. What you'll find in two weeks is the same thing they've had for at least 10 years.
