Hey all,,,

SWA newbie here. I need some help understanding the online fares. If I get a internet fare or a fun fare----WILL I FLY? I have watched the TV show, and I see that some people get put on stand by. I will be flying out of Nashville TN, and I need to know if I get to the airport three hours before hand,,,,will I get a seat??? Will SWA let me check in and print my passes for my return flight? I am a Delta vet, but dont want to chance it with the strike....

Thanks a bunch...

the only way you can absolutely guarantee getting a seat is to print your boarding pass online 24 hours before the flight and snag yourself an "A" pass.
Most B and C passes will be OK....but its the straggler C pass folk who will be affected (if anyone). You can print your passes at the Southwest desk, but its recommended you do this in advance before getting to the airport.

The type of fare you buy doesn't have anything to do with whether you get a seat. It all has to do with getting your boarding pass & showing up at a reasonable amount of time before the flight leaves. The people on "Airline" are either drunk or they show up five minutes before departure.

SWA's website has a link (travel services?) that shows you when you should arrive for each airport.

My advice? Check in & print your boarding pass(es) at home up to 24 hours in advance. Then get to the airport about two hours prior. We've flown SWA to WDW several times.
