When there is a stop but no plane change, do you have to deplane?

I may need to change DS's ticket to fly in later and although he will not be a UM (14) I dont want him to get off the plane until it reaches MCO.

Will this work on SWA?

When we flew SW in September of 2010, we did not deplane. We were only on the ground maybe 20 mintues.

Hope this helps

You usually won't be allowed to deplane as SWA has very short turn around times.

If you are not changing planes then you are not allowed to deplane. You surrender your boarding pass when you first get on and you would not have one to reboard if you got off. General procedure when you land is to get everyone off that is not continuing on. Then the flight attendants take a head count and then you are allowed to switch seats to a better seat or use the restroom. Within minutes of that the new people start to board. The turn around time is very, very quick.
