SWA App Glitch?

I was checking my November flights on the app this morning and noticed that there was a red triangle so I clicked on it. I received the message below and I was able to change my flights at no charge to much more desirable arrival and departure times. I’m just wondering if there’s some kind of glitch in the app because how could they know what the weather is going to be in November?!

That is a canned message and the weather reference is not applicable in this situation. The offer to allow a one-time change is due to schedule changes and the grounding of MAX8 aircraft. That message is not anything new.

Interesting... My husband has September flights and has not received that message. Nor did we get this message for our family trip earlier in the summer. Thanks for the info.

You didn't receive the message previously because those flights weren't affected - or potentially affected. It's not a system wide thing.

We have a trip coming up in 4 weeks. We got the message for our flight down and changed to a better time. The original flight did not end up being canceled or changed. A couple weeks later, we didn't get that message, but we're just notified that our return flight had been canceled and they'd rebooked us on a different flight. We were then able to change that flight to not only a better time, but we also extended our stay by two days.
