I've never flown on SWA and don't plan on flying anywhere anytime soon (darn!) but I am trying to educate myself on all things SWA because I'd like to use them when we go back to WDW in October 2008.

I was playing around with the SWA site and using the section where you can check what flights are the cheapest if you are flexible with your dates.

My question - Why are there no "Internet One-Way" rates for January, February and March. There are only "Discount Fares". I'll see posts where people state their airfare rate dropped and they got a credit. Is this why? You purchase them at the "Discount" rate and then the "Internet" rate is released?

How does SWA work? :confused3

TIA,
Debbie

From flying with them, if they do a sale for a particular date then they will have what you saw, with the "Internet one-way" fare. They also have DING! fares, which has to be downloaded onto your computer. These are special fares that are usually released only a couple months or less before you departure date, but can be really cheap fares. You just have to go to the Southwest site to download it. Oh, and to get credit, you have to have already booked a fare, then if a better deal comes out you have to cancel and rebook, or at least that's what I've always had to do. :thumbsup2
