Sw to the rescue

Friends missed their flights yesterday morning( one family was adamant leaving at 5:30 from Disney was enough time for a 7 AM flight), needless to say they did not make it. Sw put them on a flight 2 hours later for no extra charge. I thought that was very decent or is that standard practice?

Standard practice if there is room on the next flight. We missed a flight on US Air (overslept, not to WDW) many years ago. We had to wait about 3 hours for a flight that had 4 seats to where we were going.
