SW to start seat assignment

IF they decide to do it, they project it will start in 2008....
They are testing in San Diego. They don't let you select the seat in the test they just assign them, no changes allowed.... I think it's an error for them to do this, but the didn't ask me. LOL!

It looks like it's an 8-week pilot program (pardon the pun). Not everyone is pleased with it. But the inability to reserve your seat ahead of time was the number 1 complaint about SWA. I guess time will tell whether they will decide to make the change permanent and systemwide.
 

Blech...I prefer the way it is now. I like the back seats...no one ever takes those making it easy for us to grab a place, even when we're in the C boarding group.
