SW question

Does anyone have any idea how many seats SW reserves (books) at each rate? My departure flight has availability beginning at the "fun fare" rate and my return flight has availability beginning at the "restricted fare" rate. I've already made my reservation, but I was just curious on how full the flights would be. Also, on pre-boarding check in if my flight departs at 8:00am on Tuesday, the earliest I can check in online is 8:00am on Monday, correct? How early do the people start lining up for boarding? Is there an announcement telling people to line up?

I think that it varies by how close to the travel date and how many vacant seats that are available. I have noticed when checking our bookings that at certain times rates that are unavailable become available and I am guessing that this has moreto do with lowering fares to fill flights thanreservations being cancelled.

There is no announcement regarding lining up. Some people line up as soon as the previous flight has boarded. Others wait until their letter (A-B-C) is called.
