Sw just raised rates another $5.00 from Manchester to Orlando. We are going at the end of July for 10 days. Anyone think these rates will change. Lowest is $144.00 one way. Guess we will fly Jet Blue out of Boston this time around unless these rates go down soon.

Southwest's prices have been known to fluctuate based on the day of the week. Never do your actual booking on a Saturday.

I'd say, this is just a guess but we do fly SW out of MHT, that will probably come down a little bit in the next month or so. Check on a weekday and book when you like what you see. If it goes down further, rebook and take the credit for a future trip.

I've been checking SW prices (for other times) and they are fluctuating almost daily.

Living in NH, I'd love to fly SW too! However, shopping around airfare (and as mentioned, it's usually cheapest mid-week) - I have always found it less expensive to fly out of Boston - and that includes paying for transportation from our home in Southern NH to Boston if necesseary.

We have been flying SW out of MHT exclusively over the past few years. All of our trips have been in July except one trip in Dec. I have never paid more than $89 each way. This year SW prices came out around $109 and have only gone up for early July. In January, with SW at $129 I gave up hoping for them to come down and jumped on the $89 fare on JetBlue out of Boston.

It is more inconvenient for us since we have relatives that live 10 min from MHT but there are 5 of us so we'll deal with it for the $400 savings. Plus I like the idea of everyone having their own tv. I am looking forward to trying JetBlue.

We are the same driving distance from both Boston and Manchester (about 45 minutes) and fly either Jet Blue or SW, based on fare price. For April vacation week next month, SW was way lower. For our July trip, we also jumped on the $89/each way fare on Jet Blue. That price has since gone up to $99 each way, but still not bad. If driving to Boston isn't too bad, I'd book Jet Blue now rather than wait and hope SW comes down. Good luck! :goodvibes

I too was waiting for Southwest out of Providence or Hartford but I did jump on Jetblue out of Boston, all 3 airports are the same distance of 1 hour for me and was lucky to get $99 each way the flight down is now at $144 and the flight home is still at $99.

That's what we have found as well lately.

We also fly from MHT on SW many times throughout the year. I started looking for airfare to MCO back in December for a trip in May and could only find flights $99 or higher. I recently found a $69.00 flight for the dates I wanted. I have noticed that you need to check almost daily to find these great deals.

I just booked a trip to WDW for the end of June, and I am shocked by the airfare! :eek:We have never paid more than $79 each way. We fly out of PVD, BOS, or BDL which are all within 1 hour 10 min., but are also looking at MHT. This would only add about 25 min. to our travel time. Also, I did notice that jump at all these airports over the weekend, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that they come down.

Wish I decided to make the trip sooner, as I would have gone for the Jetblue at >$100 each way out of BOS. Maybe the free QSDP pin I received to be booked by 7/3 will not be the cheapest code out there for us if the airfare part doesn't come down!

For those of you who are looking for flights out of MHT, I just booked a Southwest flight at the end of June and coming back in July for $104 each way.:thumbsup2 Not bad considering what the fares have been lately. We did have to take an evening flight down, but I think as you look more into July the earlier flights are available at this rate.

Not quite the price we've been able to get in the past, but I decided it was time to book. I still have my fingers crossed that I'll see a lower fare, as I can use 3 airports. Boston is out due to no direct flights and very high fares on the trip home ($84 going down though!).

Hope this helps!

Just chiming in to say that I also believe that SW prices for MHT to MCO have been high lately. I actually booked us (for a January trip) a few years ago for $49 each way!! DS and I are going in May and I've been casually looking for a few weeks and I finally booked it yesterday at $144 each way because that was the lowest I had seen. Fortunately I had one free rnd trip coming to me from our SW Visa card, so it wasn't too bad considering that. I'd love to see anything under $100 again............P

After I had posted here about an hour ago, it sort of reminded me to check the price on SWA (I just booked yesterday for a May trip). It had dropped $20 each way!! I just earned $40 bucks back.... I am pretty happy about that!...............P

Definitely miss those cheap flights. Happy to hear that you got a $40 credit though! :yay:Time to plan your next trip to WDW!

We live in northern NH so Boston is a long way for us. Portland is a bit closer than Manchester but the airfare tends to be even higher than SW from Manchester. So we pretty much fly exclusively on SW! We love the direct flights - take the early flight down and the late flight home. Also for us their frequent flying program works well - I use their credit card for just about everything and get a few free flights each year.

But SW fares do seem like they have been high out of MHT lately. I booked my May flights but am waiting for the September fares. Curious to see what they will be!
